How long can I expect Xtandi to work
I have been on Xtandi a few months and the results are very good. I was on Lupron 10 years before it quit working. How long can I expect Xtandi to work before going to the next step?

An Enigma
I have written a number of posts earlier detailing my 22 year journey since RP in 1999. The issue that I face is a high PSA(146) after Lupron, Casodex, Zytiga and Chemo ( Taxotere). I still receive an injection of Trelstar every 3 months and am currently taking the chemo drug Lynparza. Thankfully I have

Can't run - legs feel like concrete
I used to be a fairly hardcore runner. I averaged about 45 miles/week, more when marathon training. I was into racing. I've run 15 full marathons and countless 5ks, 10ks, etc. It was a huge part of my life. While on Lupron I've found that running is difficult. My legs feel extremely heavy. It's not

I'm new here, unfortunately. :)
Hello, I had colon cancer in 1993, with surgery for resection, radiation and chemotherapy. Clear colonoscopies ever since. Successfully removed melanoma from left ear in 2005. I was diagnosed in early October (2021) with prostate cancer. After a series of reports, an MRI, bone scan, and CT scan,

My Dady's Prostate Cancer
Hi everyone, It is the first time that I write and I would like your opinions about my case: I am the daughter of a 75 years old man with metastatic prostate cancer. It all started in 2002 when he underwent a radical prostatectomy with a gleason 6 pt2bn0m0. Until 2019 he has been on intermittent hormonal

PC History
A conditioned hardcore athlete, at the age of 59 I had Da Vinci surgery in 2010 with Gleason 4+3=7, PSA 9. Post surgical biopsy showed all margins clear with no seminal vesicle involvement. I had no incontinence and an active sex life for ten years when cancer suddenly went active again with PSA rising

PSA rising and does not want to go on lupron
I've read some of the answers to your situation and I think that by by casadex would be your best option and depending on how fast his PSA is rising if he doesn't want to go on lupron you have firmagon which is a monthly thing so once you get it you if it doesn't agree with you it'll be out of your system

ADT
Is the drug Orgovyx ( relugolix ) a drug that is out of your system in a month ? Much less than Lupron.

Questioning modern cancer treatment.
Hello, I have kept my cancer treatment to a personal basis sharing it only with some family and friends. Almost 7 years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 4, Prostate Cancer and a Gleason Score 9, positive margin. As most, I went through prostate biopsies, the radical robotic proctectomy, radiation treatment

Is there a link?
Is there a link between having natural immunity to TB and not contracting Covid19?The reason I ask is that 7 colleagues and a lot of children are off with the virus at the school I work in. However myself and one other colleague were talking and it appears that neither of us needed the BCG (TB) vaccine

Info on Apalumatide
I have been on Lupron for 2 years. Lately (last two months) my PSA has started rising. My MO has taken me off Lupron and I will start Apalutamide as soon as insurance approves. Would be interested in info on Apalumatide, side effects, negative responses ect.

Eight weeks into hospice. Strange experience.
I suppose I never had a great understanding of what hospice was all about. Just a short background. Prostate cancer for 18 years, approx 13 years at stage four. No surgery, instead 40+ rounds of radiation, Lupron, casodex, aberiteron, enzalutamide, three clinical trials, don’t remember how many rounds

Skelton brittleness from Lupron
I have been on Lupron for about 16 months. About 7 weeks ago I had a fall on to a hard floor. I landed on my hand. In doing so I twisted my body but didn’t land on body but broke my fall with my hand. I had a X-ray which showed I had crushed my vertebrae. My GP put me on pain killers. We have had a discussion

Chemo with docetaxel?
I recently posted about my experience with Zytiga, and the proposed switch to Erleada, which I haven't yet tried, partly due to cost and difficulties of getting it in Cyprus, where I live. One specialist has proposed starting chemo with docetaxel. My PSA recently rose to 38 from 27 and the stereotactic

Timing of Radiation treatment after starting ADT
From the few studies I have seen the sweet spot ( for maximum shrinkage of the prostate) seems to be 12 to 24 weeks after starting on ADT ( I am on Lupron and Zytiga). I want to hit the cancer with radiation when it is at it's weakest. Is there and reason to wait longer or conversely any reason to wait
