After you've been taking Orgovyx for a while and you stop taking it, half of it will be gone after 61 hrs.

Relugolix (a daily oral GnRH receptor antagonist) has an elimination half-life of 36 to 65 hours.

For those unfamiliar with the terminology, "reglugolix" is the generic drug name for the chemical. "Orgovyx" is a trade name used by the drug company that owns the patent. It's a new oral (pill form) androgen deprivation drug.

"Half-life" of X hours means that if the drug takes X hours to clear half of it from your body - possibly by eliminating it in urine or stools, or possibly by chemical breakdown or reaction of the drug with other chemicals. In another X hours half of what's left will be gone, leaving 1/4th active in the body. In another X hours half of that will be gone, leaving 1/8, and so on for 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, and so on.. In a 30 day month there are 24 x 30 =720 hours. For a drug with a half-life of 61 hours, there are 720/61 = 11.8 half-life cycles in the month. That corresponds to 1/(2^11.8) = 1/3566 of the drug is still left in your body at the end of 30 days. It's unlikely to show any effects at that point, and probably not after just a week or two.

Great . Thanks. No need to take Vantas if you could find it. This an oral drug.

For example--if taking Orgovyx for six months, how long for testosterone to return to previous level after taking last pill? I'm 69 with a prior testosterone level of 395.

Mine was 440 prior to ADT. Myovant has a patient support number you can call for more detailed info (1-833-696-8633 or visit pfizermedicalinformation.com). Not sure anyone can tell you if or how fast your T levels will return though.

To answer your question, Or-go-vyx (vix = 5,009 seconds = 83.48333 minutes = 1.391388833333333 hours)....

Orgovix (y sometimes substitutes for the letter I) will be gone in 1 hour and 39 minutes.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
