I'm entering my 5th year of stage 4 PC and 1 month away from my 78th birthday. I had Orchiectomy done starting with a psa of 1.1 in April 2021 and my psa has slowly declined after every 6 week blood test 1.0, .83, .89, .7, .38 Nothing has changed with my medications, other than dropping Lupron, nor with nutrition. Any thoughts? I workout at the gym twice a week, stay busy with the wood mill, gardening, and E bike weather permitting.
The cherry logs and the white cedar log in the picture is for a table and raised garden beds.

What a terrific project you have underway! And kudos for all the exercising. That should help greatly!
Holey guadatouchey! You’re an amazing man! I Too pulled into unich hood in 2017 dropping the dammed Lupron! I M six yrs in . That quite a mill there . Woods not seen in Az. Keep up the good work Sir! Scott 🏋🏽♂️
I occasionally run across your posts and you have been through the mill yourself. Keep up the good work. Any chance I could make some boards out of sequoia?
CT,I noticed that so far, no one has mentioned your dramatic drop in PSA after Orchi. I had no idea that Orchi would work so well vs Lupron after 5 years?? Makes one wonder if Castration Resistance sets in, if Orchi may reinvigorate PSA decline? I am just at 1yr anniv since Dx w unresectable prostate still intact. With tender testacles (I assume from ADT induced shrinkage?), and longer term Lupron use leading to a high probability of T not returning once Lupron is stopped, that Orchi looks more attractive for “Overall Survival” as time marches on. Still castration sensitive at this time w latest PSA at new low nadir of .58.
Thanks for sharing. Congrats on PSA decline. Here’s to many many years of woodworking, and PCa in remission/senescence.
Hi Mike, I too am surprised that no one has come up with a theory why my PSA has declined after Lupron. I will be seeing my MO in Dec and maybe he has some logic. I got some bad news looking at my portal this morning. My MRI done last week of the thoracic spine identified a metastatic lesion of the T3 vertebral body. That was radiated in March 2019, not sure if radiotherapy treatment can be done again. I wrote to my radiation oncologist and see what the next steps may be. Bob
Nice mill. My orchi was 3 yrs ago, now 71 and don't think I could keep up with you working the mill. PSA low now and happy to never have to have lupron again... PS; Scott has no sequoias in AZ, but big alligator junipers have nice wood... + mesquite bbq wood.
I was kind of curious did you try orgovyx or estradiol as an option to look at.Anything you could share with se of orchitechtomey if any? Thanks and best wishes
Orgovyx wasn't available yet and my MO at the time didn't like estradiol. It wasn't very widely used here at that time...Life Is Good, so was decision to get orchiectomy .
