Another Newbie here with Stage 4 PC.
Diagnosed in 11-5-21 with Stage 4 PC. It spread to my nearby lymph nodes at the torso. Had biopsy. PSA was at 118. Met with MO in mid Nov. 1st Lupron shot 11-24-21. Tried to start Zytiga. Had terrible side effects. MO said wait a week. Lupron made me flare up. Swelling in right leg for 1 week and sore

Abiraterone, prednisone, eplerenone, and blood pressure
I’ve been on Lupron and abiraterone + prednisone for three years, which has maintained my PSA < 0.1. But my BP has been increasing even though I’ve been taking benazepril 20 mg/day plus amlodipine besylate 2.5 mg/day for many years. Average BP over Jan 2022 has been 167/80, which obviously isn’t good

Confusion As To Next Treatments - Carboplatin and Cabazitaxel
Thanks in advance! I was diagnosed at age 76 with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer that has spread extensively to bones, lymph nodes and lungs. My profile contains a complete description of events including lab work, scan results and treatments. That was in June 2020. After treatment with Cosiodex

If I could only put my back into it.
Two weeks about completing IMRT with boosts and four months into a six month Lupron injection, my CBC and Metabolic Panel were all normal and my T level is <3. Bladder frequency is calming down to once a night. I have developed some back pain that generally spans the area of the notorious "tramp stamp

Two Months on Lupron
I started Lupron two months ago and had my first PSA and Testosterone blood level yesterday. I will see my RO next week to discuss the results and whether I can start IGRT. PSA was 6.4 two months ago and was 0.98 yesterday. T was 465 two months ago and was 10 yesterday. I am hopeful that I can get the

First time on this forum, hoping to connect with people with similar experience
I am a 68 (minus 4 days) male. Was relatively healthy until about a month or two ago. Had just Hashimoto's, which was under control with Levothyroxin (100ug) and Cytomel. I went for a physical two weeks ago and my PCP called me the same day to tell me that she wants the blood test repeated the next day

information on BITE trial: anyone have experience with BITE?
it seems my partner is losing ground fast on Standard Care Lupron + (Zytiga failed in less than 8 months); he's on Chemo (Docetaxel (the first 4 failed out of 7 infusions) + Carboplatin (3). His MO suggested the bridge would be too long (4-6 weeks) for Car T-cell Trial; instead recommended BITE (involves

Now comes the test
Just finished 39 IMRT treatments to whole pelvis last week. Fourteen of those treatments were boosts to three Pylarify identified avid lymph nodes. I'm three months into the first of six month Lupron injections. I have a routine check up with my family doctor next week. My next MO appointment is in

PSA went from 0.16 to 2.65 in 3 months
Hello folks, I just got the disturbing news about my PSA. I e been on lupron, abiraterone 250mg , hi and Prednisone for 2 years. During those years my PSA went from 11 to 0.16 last November. What kind of questions should I ask my MO and what type of next treatment steps does the community recommend?

Three-Year Anniversary
Three years on ADT only. Lupron and abiraterone + prednisone. PSA staying low and MRI shows cervical neck tumor hasn’t grown and maybe shrank. Even with not-much-fun ADT side effects, I feel blessed.

See Eastern Washington PC practices
There are resources in eastern Washington. Talk to Spokane Urology. I went to Spokane Urology and Dr. Ray Lance in early 2020 for Da Vinci robotic Radical Protatectomy in early 2020 at Spokane Providence Sacred Heart Hospital just before the first pandemic surge. Surgery went well. Da Vinci technology

Good imho - a little no frill
I am satisfied. At a basic level everyone follows the same protocols. Either I am not a candidate for advanced treatments beyond Lupron and Xtandi or they just don’t “go there”. I’m a 5-year since diagnosis Gleason 9 with multiple lymph node involvement, one near the heart. I had chemo in a German clinic

Last lupron
On Jan 14, had the last of 2 years of three months of lupron. It was a grind. I gained weight and was miserable. Fortunately my PSA reminded undetectable during this time. A PSMA scan showed two lymph nodes so we radiated the entire pelvic area. So my next testosterone and PSA check is scheduled on

Next step- Zytiga vs Xtandi?
Husband finished six rounds of docetaxal in December. Brought PSA down to 0.7 (from 350). Bone Mets have stopped progressing and show “scarring” or “healing”. Going in next week for follow up with MO. I would like to suggest next step or at least be informed with what MO has to suggest. What is the
