Covid Vaccine Experience! Sometimes you've just got to put your big girl pants on and be brave xx
I am not in any blood thinning medication,
NSAIDs
, Immunosuppressants, NOTHING. I can confirm that I had the Oxford, AstraZeneca vaccine despite my Medical history. I braced myself last night for the impact of feeling horrendous but to my surprise, I don't feel as bad as I thought I would.

Misdiagnosed with PMR??
One further way to help the diagnosis was to try me on
NSAIDS
, which generally work well for AS and not for PMR. I have a bleeding disorder so the safest one is Celebrex. I started it Tuesday and what a difference. My stiffness went away and almost all my pain.

Alive regarding pain relief please
Hi just looking for a bit of advice for analgesia. I've got NAFLD cirossis stage 4. I am suffering at the moment with a flare up of diverticulitis and need to take analgesia. I know NSAID's are a no no , but codeine is that ok ? I've looked around for info but not really found an answer.

Hiv transmition by a syringe stick
If you find a syringe in the trash, and you accidentally stick yourself on it or you think that you have. Will you get hiv? Does the hiv virus live the syringe or is it different by injecting it and to get a syringe stick on your finger?

Can symptoms of PMR come and go ?
Also I haven’t started on Prednisone yet as I am waiting to see the Rheumatologist in a couple of weeks so only taking
NSAIDS
. However my doctor was pretty sure it was PMR and blood tests showed inflammation . Can PMR come and go ? Will symptoms come back as before ?

My pelvic pain story: still on the journey to a diagnosis and feeling discouraged
Prescription
NSAIDs
, first doled out to me some time in my mid-teens, have outlasted more than one romantic relationship and several friendships as a constant presence in my life. By 19, mefenamic acid and paracetamol combined were not enough.

Rheumatoid Arthritis and Heart Disease: Why You’re at Increased Risk
If you must use
NSAIDs
regularly, naproxen is probably your best bet, says Dr. Bartels. It has a slightly different mechanism of action so it’s less likely than other
NSAIDs
to lead to cardiovascular problems.

Manage relapse without steroids
Has anyone managed flare ups with
NSAIDS
only? I would really like to avoid more steroids. I notice on this forum that there are some claims that not treating PMR with steroids will a) make it worse and b) increase the likelihood of GCA.

ET mental impact/symptoms
The GE found a mild gastritis (said caused by the
NSAIDS
I was taking for my back pain), Cardiologist said all ok with my heart but unexplained rapid heartbeat had to be dealt with a beta blocker.

Back Issues
This may seem like a topic unrelated to AF. It is my experience that nerve issues in the back could be a factor. Unfortunately, heart doctors do not explore this possibility even though the cause of AF has still not been determined. The comment on NSAID's is probably worth considering. They may inhibit
