Any advice welcome Please read Endo / pne/ pelvis/ involuntary arousal/ lap gone wrong!!!
After lap I was discharged, placed on a hormone injection- which made me extremely ill, so I was placed on
Norethisterone
. It took me 3 / 4 weeks after my op before I could even get out of bed and walk. Ever since my op I have been in constant pain for 2 years.

Has anyone been prescribed norethisterone for their Endo?
I know it's normally prescribed short term to hold off your period for a large event eg holiday. But my gynae wants me to take it every day for 2 months 5mg 2x daily for my pain. I do not get irrregular periods nor flooding. Just constant pain. I was wondering if any of you ladies have used it and what

I have lower left abdo and groin pain and more a less constant bleeding, any suggestions to stop this would be a massive help
Norethisterone
stops the bleeding but not the pain, it has terrible side effects and cant be taken long term. The consultant basically said live it or have a hysterectomy which I dont see an option as I want a family and am only 31.

Danazol
I have previously tried the pill and
norethisterone
with no luck. Yesterday I was given a presciption for Danazol as apparently I am running out of things to try, I was also given Mefenamic Acid for the period pain as well.

Anyone on Norethisterone still experience the pain as though they're meant to be having a period?
I want to stop the
norethisterone
just to see what happens but I dont know whether to wait until I see my Gynae next Friday. I just dont want to get there and for him to say, right try it without and see what happens, see me in 3months.

Has anyone had treatment for suddenly occurring ovarian cysts during the IVF process?
On my long protocol, I was given
norethisterone
tablets for 12 days for the purpose of suppressing ovarian cysts though i was not found to have cysts on the baseline scan on the month. This is somehow the standard practice at the clinic.

My period hasn't arrived after taking norethisterone to induce it
Due to very irregular periods, I have to take
norethisterone
each time to induce a bleed. AF usually arrives 5 days after stopping the tablets. It's now been 9 days and no sign of AF. I need to get on the pill before October is out as I taking part in a trial so there are time restrictions.

Help! New to all this. Lots of questions! :(
Over Christmas / new year I was put on
norethisterone
to stop me bleeding. This sent my hormones wild and when I stopped taking it the pain was unbelievable. My periods continued to be irregular so I was put cerazette which caused me to bleed for a month.

Has anyone had constant bleeding/spotting with the mirena and decapeptyl, or the mirena and norethisterone? If so, has anything else worked?
I have also been on
norethisterone
at 45mg per day, for 3 months, but I still have pain and variable degrees of bleeding or spotting. Nothing seems to stop me bleeding, I even had spotting when on a 6 month course of decapeptyl last year.

Endo and norethisterone
I have spoken to my GP this morning about the continuing pain and she has suggested trying
Norethisterone
. Has anybody else had this and did it help with the symptoms?

How long does it take for Cerazette to work? Even Noresthisterone isn't effective.
On Cerazette and
Norethisterone
, but still bleeding heavy and very painful. Difficult to walk I'm off sick and worried about my job. The last laser I had was 10 years ago. I don't want surgery if I can avoid it as worried about scar tissue encouraging more endo.

Gynaecology-Hysterectomy
I'm still taking the
norethisterone
which should help with the bleeding, but I can take a bit more to help if its still very bad. I'm just grateful that I have had so much help with this.

Endometriosis caused small bowel blockage
I am currently on
Norethisterone
to keep the endo at bay and stop periods, as 18 months ago I had a failed hysterectomy op as I have a frozen pelvis, the endo has fused my bowel, bladder & everything together. This resulted in only one ovary being removed which had an 11cm chocolate cyst.

How can they say they found nothing in my second lap??
I have seen a gynea consultant in the last 6 months and at the time I had been put on
norethisterone
(very high dose progesterone) to stop my bleeding.
