CANCER IS BACK....AGAIN
It has been awhile since I posted anything on here. Two years ago I was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer stage 1. They removed the lower portion of my right lung, cancer was gone. Last year the cancer ( a different type of non-small cell) was found in the left lung. With chemo and radiation

Caspiana...A new lung
Yesterday I received an email from Caspiana advising that she had received "That Call" from the hospital, telling her to come in as they had a lung for her. I have not heard from Cas since so I can only assume that she did have a lung transplant yesterday. If you are of a mind please keep Cas in your

Asbestos & Small Cell Lung Cancer
My wife was diagnosed with SCLC in March 2019. She is now on Palliative Chemo just to give her a bit of extra time. I was also diagnosed with Enlarged Hilar and Enlarged Mediastinal nodes on my lungs in 2018 and being me I never went back to the hospital. Does anyone know whether these could have been

1sr Appointment with Oncologist
Good evening everyone. Good news - the cancer has not spread beyond my lungs! He thinks Immunotherapy is the best option for me (due to the pneumonia I had in October and complications from an illness I had several years ago). There is a possibility of there forever being an infection lurking, albeit

How do you cope day to day
My dad has stage 4 lung cancer. No treatment has ever helped him. How as a daughter do you help function. I’ve a baby and 2 year old and I’m struggling to be happy. My dad knows it’s imminent and my mam cries. I don’t know what to do or say

Reducing tocilizumab injections
I was told to try to take my tocilizumab injections every 4 weeks but struggled so much I have taken this last one after 3 weeks, before that 3 1/2 weeks twice. Does anyone have any experience of reducing the injections. I am feeling increasingly ill, sweating, extreme tiredness - signs the GCA is back

Devastated! my Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Transformed into Small Cell Lung Cancer
Hello Friends, It has been a while since I posted. I was originally diagnosed 7 1/2 months ago with stage 4 Non-Small Cell EGFR + Lung Cancer. Had a great response to Tagrisso 80mg as my first line but progressed only after 6 months. My biopsy in July confirmed that my Non-Small Cell has transformed

Stem cell webinar by MJF and 1 unanswered question
Just finished listening to the MJF stem cell seminar. It was not particularly educational neither it gave any reason for optimism. Well, judge for yourself: slides are available on MJF site. I asked the panel a question but didn't get an answer. The question was: " It was reported that people who

Alpha 1 antitrypsin question please
Hi- can anyone help? My GP recently requested a blood test for alpha-1 antitrypsin due to some wheezing I have, and a strong family history of COPD. The blood test that was carried out was Serum protein electrophoresis, which came back normal. I asked the GP if A1AT is included in that and she said yes

TOE echocardiogram
After two major operations in less then 18 months, kidney blockage and lung cancer lobe removal, I said never again. I’m done. Had my quota. Remind me never to say never again. Saw a cardiologist at Papworth Hospital yesterday about the mitral valve regurgitation problem they discovered during tests
