A recent study supports a link between antibodies and food allergies. https://www.empr.com/home/mpr-first-report/acaai-2019/food-allergy-presence-associated-with-antiphospholipid-antibodies/ My Antiphospholipid antibodies dropped substantially when I started a high fiber diet and limited eggs and dairy

Understanding the role of plastic in the food industry.
Hi everyone, As this is very topical I think it's good to understand why plastic is used so extensively by the food industry.
In the US they use enough cling film in a year to wrap Texas.
Cling film is mostly single use as it clogs the recycling machines. Obviously ready made sandwiches need

Lactose In NDT and Possible Milk Intolerance dilemma 🤔
I have been using Thyroid-S for some time now and have found it to be the best medication for me. I have also been gluten free for two years which has helped. I am however, experiencing chronic sinus issues which I' ve had for a long time on and off well before I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. I

Hello. Well I have not been on or posted for a whole ,simply because fortunately I have been managing to control it until about 8 weeks ago. I've been to gp and hospital and seemingly I'm ok. However , in my mind I am now all of a sudden allergic to everything , balloons , nuts , seafood , new moistirusers

Once again organic food
I found this article and video very interesting. Unfortunately not all of us can buy organic food. I wish the price of organic food would go down but also for foods that have chemicals added to them to be less affordable. Governments know the cost to our health when our food is sprayed with chemicals

Oat allergy and "Gluten-free" bread
I do not (now) have much immediate reaction to gluten... but I called the doctor when I had my first Âżanaphalactic? "attack"... and he thought I had had a heart attack - and sent me off in an ambulance to the cardiac unit. Gluten allergy was diagnosed by a private allergy specialist - and it never registered

Allergies and B12D - issues with new work environment
3 weeks ago I started a new job and the smell pervading the new office makes me really sick. Within an hour of being in it I have weeping eyes; sore chest (sternum area); painful, sick-feeling stomach; tingling, numb lips; throbbing ears that feel hot inside. After 3 hours I feel dizzy and sometimes

AlÂlerÂgic disÂeases inÂcrease the risk of adult-onÂset asthma.
A Finnish study found that the more allergic diseases an individual has, the higher the asthma risk. The number of allergic diseases increases the risk of adult-onset asthma especially in individuals born after 1940, according to a study published in the Allergy journal. Approximately one in ten Finns

More Breathless
This is going to sound daft. I have been taking the Seretide 125 inhaler for 6 days now and I have a Salamol inhaler for when needed. I actually feel more out of breath than before I was diagnosed. I catch my breath when talking, I used to be able to walk for miles on the flat, now I am struggling

CBD Oil for Parkinson’s
CBD doesn’t have the psychoactive benefits of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabis’s more famous cannabinoid. It does, however, have other potentially beneficial effects. https://www.healthline.com/health/parkinsons-disease/cbd-oil-for-parkinsons

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY
I've been reading the National Review of Asthma Deaths after the news last week on the increase in asthma deaths. I was diagnosed with asthma in January this year (54 with no history of asthma), after a hospital stay I'm managing very well on anti-histamines (over the counter) and Relvar Elipta 92/22

Referral to respiratory?
Over the last 6 months my asthma has become uncontrollable. I'm currently on fostair 200, salamol reliever, antihistamines, steroids and montelukast. I'm taking my reliever 6-10 time every 30-60 minutes day and night. I'm back at my GPS Tuesday and they said if it's not improved with this latest course

Alpha 1 antitrypsin question please
Hi- can anyone help? My GP recently requested a blood test for alpha-1 antitrypsin due to some wheezing I have, and a strong family history of COPD. The blood test that was carried out was Serum protein electrophoresis, which came back normal. I asked the GP if A1AT is included in that and she said yes
