Allergy test: What does Avian birds... - Asthma Community ...
Allergy test
Birds kept in cages.
Later: I am wrong. It means a bird, basically. But cages for birds, big ones, are called averies, thus I wonder if that is what they mean.
What it means is that you are reacting to birds. This could be there feathers or there poo. It is found in a pin prick test. Which is how you can fine your triggers for your asthma. I hope that helps you.
Yours always Asthma Tim.
I was tested for caged birds that came back negative just avian birds I'm allergic to
What that means generally is birds but they don't know which kinds. They've taken a random collection of material and tested you against it but they've not isolated species. So essentially you'll be allergic to some and maybe not others. For that matter it may not be something of the bird itself, but rather what's on the bird/s when collection is made. You technically could be reacting to a type of mold that favors the living conditions on some birds and even in some parts of the world. So you may find this very broad explanation helps explain your breathing distress. Your immune system is reacting heavily to airborne particles. Get your environment critically clean to give your mast cells a chance to settle down from the assault.
Are there any signs of mold, or water damage, leaking pipes sinks, wet areas, visible surface mold in bathrooms? You can't deal with that nor the chemical assault to clean it up which brings a chemical defense from microbes which increases detrimental exposure.
