Neutropenia
I have had CLL for 15 years and I have just developed a case of
neutropenia
. My number is 5.1, but the normal maximum is supposedly 4.5, are my levels dangerous? Any information would be gratefully received.

Early results of the Pirtobrutinib, Obinituzumab, Venetoclax trial I'm on have just been published
I had a brief
neutropenia
. We stopped treatment briefly during cycle 11 in December, 2023 due to an unknown infection with fever > 100.4F/38C. Per the trial protocol, I was admitted to my local hospital, and did IV antibiotics and IVIG.

Neutropenia
Does anyone have
Neutropenia
? I have received my blood results from the hospital and my white blood cell count is low at 2.53. Apparently my neutrophils are 1.36. I have googled as cannot get a GP appointment until tomorrow and apparently any score under 2 leads to a
neutropenia
diagnosis.

neutropenia back again
My husband encountered Neurtropenia right before his last O infusion. Protocol was one week off venetoclax, blood test, no improvement, GCIF injections which brought his levels up to normal. His Venetoclax dosage was cut from 4 to 3 pills daily. Now, embarking on cycle 10, we are in the “what’s next

V + O for R/R CLL post FCR
[/u] I had 3 rounds of FCR in 2018 stopped because of profound
neutropenia
. I relapsed exactly 2 years later and though I did not start Tx until the 5 year point in 2023, would have gladly started it 9 months ealier due to B symptoms.

Vertigo and Venclexta?
My husband is starting cycle 12 of Venclexta, reduced to 200mg /day due to 2 bouts of
Neutropenia
, and has recently experienced Vertigo twice. The first time, I did not associate this with the treatment; however, it seemed peculiar when it happened a second time, only eight weeks later.

why neutropenia?
anyone she’d light on why the Vclax is wiping out healthy neutrophils and T cells? It’s happening to me and has caused me to have some nasty infections. Thanks for any medical context.

MO recommends decreased Docetaxel dose
His first session did land him in the hospital with possible injection and
neutropenia
. Just wondering if this is common with Docetaxel? Does the 75% dose mean that chemo won’t be as effective? Thank you

CLL replication rate
With treatment, CLL cells are drastically reduced -- a good thing -- but to a lesser extent, so are good cells, hence
neutropenia
. Along with the loss of good cells, so is the natural check on the CLL cells.

Venclexta mono therapy vs Venclexta plus gazyva
His reasoning is that since I have a tendency to
neutropenia
Gazyva would not be well tolerated. Also he explains that the hematological side effects would last a long time after Gazyva treatment is stopped. The other Dr at UCI recommends venetoclax and Gazyva per the trial plan.

Neutropenic fever landed me in the hospital after 1st Taxotere infusion
My MO has switched me over to Jevtana, but the likelihood of
Neutropenia
is statistically higher with it vs. Taxotere- ugh.

Ibrance v. Kisqali
I took Ibrance for a year and really struggled with terrible brain fog to the extent that I could hardly work, joint pain was awful, had some hair loss, and the usual
neutropenia
and blood work irregularities.

Why white blood counts can be high or low. Could a high count be blood cancer, in particular Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)?

Anyone have a dramatic drop in WBC bordering on neutropenia from pelvic radiation (not chemo)?
Husband is 3/4 of the way through an escalated course of IMRT Prostate bed only radiation (plan was for 33 days but they gave larger doses per day and are trying to do it in 20 days). Today (Saturday) we ended up going to the ER because he was having some strange symptoms. Labs showed his WBC counts
