Food for thought.
Regarding the pressure the Depts of Health in UK and Ireland put on us to eat a health diet to avoid Cancer, they should first start in the hospitals ie hospital food. I was visiting a friend today who is recovering from Brain Surgery due to Cancer, she was my friend on the Chemo Unit last time around

Finding my feet.
Oh, look, there they are, on the ends of my legs. The sarcasm bit of my brain's still working, then. 15 months since the brain haemorrhage, and about 2 months since the other round of brain surgery, to correct one of the other aneurysms they found while they were rooting about in there. I've had my mandatory

What do we avoid to prevent further bleeds?
I just tuned 58 years old. My first bleed was in 2009, I was 51. It was pretty bad because my cavernoma was in the brain stem, near my pons. But with God's grace I recovered with a year of therapy. During the duration of my therapy, I took an herbal supplement called NeuroAid. You can check their website

Asking about peoples experiences post surgery
Hello to everyone, My 65 year old mother has recently had brain surgery to remove a Cavanoma from her head (on 9th of March), it's now over a week later and I'm all over the place with worry. She has almost no short term memory and still cannot figure out where she is, yet can remember some things

Am back for discussions
I have only just resumed on this site after an absence of nearly a year. I was dx'd 13 years ago and am now having to address a change in meds which is proving very difficult. Until I had brain surgery as part of a Clinical Trial (which did not work out for me) in October 2014, I was doing well with

Left sided loss of feeling
Following a brain haemorrhage,
neurosurgery
and recovery from LT sided hemiplegia in '96, I developed grand mal epilepsy with tonic clonic seizures. Horrible!!!! Thankfully it's become petit mal type but is weird.

Hey! So I'm 19 and I've struggled with my weight through my teens. However, since starting uni last year it's sky rocketted, and I'm currently 13 stone 12. I had brain surgery in August, and before that the symptoms for my condition that i had the surgery for left me exhausted and feeling it of control

Full circle again...
It seems near on impossible to have a lasting relationship if you have an ABI. After having break through seizures last week and being hospitalised for tests etc., my second wife has now said she has had enough of being with me and the day to day problems of living with me. It is all very strange and

The Journey of 17 + years with FND
Hi To All, I have been reading quite a few posts about just getting diagnosed or struggling to live with FND, or does it get better or worse. I think some said it is different for different people. My symptoms came on strong and all at once. I had had a brain surgery, followed by a very severe spinal

Being decisive, in a quagmire.
Right, yesterday I had a letter from the hospital.... drumroll, please.... Another brain-surgeon, telling me stuff I already know about what's wrong with my head, and asking me if I want a consultation prior to the surgery, in addition to the routine consultation during the planned admission. Gods,
