Hi not been on here for a long time but things for me have gone wrong, on December 13 2013 I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm this caused a Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

So nearly two and a half years later I have a big problem, Went to see my Neurologist today and it’s bad news

The aneurysm they coiled has failed and I have a small

Bleed there, I also have another aneurysm forming in

The same place in the opposite side of my brain, so

The coiling that has failed needs brain surgery to remove the coils and recoil the aneurysm and they have not yet said what they want to do about the aneurysm that is forming

any one else been in this situation?

Hi David, sorry to hear you are going through this again.

Not the same but I had a ruptured aneurysm and SAH in 2007.

The coils wouldn't reach so they had to clip it.

Just wanted you to know I survived and whatever surgery you

have I wish you well.

Stay strong and take care. K

David, can you divulge the nature of your poor health.  Is it related to the bleeds on your brain or a separate issue ?

And what does your neurologist say about going ahead with the op ?  xx

Well from day one I have been suffering Chronic Headaches, I also don’t eat or sleep so all this has taken

It’s toll on my health, I also suffer from Chronic high blood

Pressure, the reason for my ruptured brain aneurysm the

Surgeons used Endovascular coiling to stop the bleed,

But after I left hospital I was never called back for any follow

Up I should have had MRIs, this is my first appointment in

Two and a half years and Queens who carried out my surgery

Have said the coiling has moved and I also have a second aneurysm forming on the opposite side he said the coiled aneurysm will need surgery to fix it

Hi David i'm  in a similar situation I had a ruptured brain aneurysm on 26 December 2013 mine too was coiled. But I have had follow ups and scans at the hospital. At the last scan it was found that the coils had compacted and I would need further surgery to correct this or the aneurysm would fill and rupture again. at this same scan they also found another aneurysm on the other side of my brain. although this one is  small at the moment.  I'm still waiting to find out when next surgery will be.   Jo xx
