Eyes and speech affected?
A few years ago I had optic
neuritis
, the only symptom I had was fuzzy vision in one place only so I went to the opticians who referred me as an emergency to the GP and the GP referred me to hospital.

Newbie advice needed urgently
Previous diagnosis of optic
neuritis
, Menieres disease and BBPV which balance rehabilitation couldn't fix. Therefore audiologist suspected "central problem" Only ten months ago did my GP decide to check my B12 and thyroid. Results were borderline low thyroid and low B12.

Answers to blurred vision
And that even if it is not optic
neuritis
what they are finding is that MS Can cause a deterioration of the retinal nerve causing the blurriness. This makes sense and hope it can be helpful for some others.

Intermittent blurry vision ?
While I've read about MS related eye problems, this doesn't seem to be NO (neuro-opthalmoplegia or optic
neuritis
B/w episodes. Much better clarity. But like the past 2 days, very challenging to read the computer. Anyone else experience similar?

Let's talk steroids
LOL (l live in a small town and my neorolgost is 2 hrs away) He told me l had optic
neuritis
. Which l had no clue or heard of. Thank God for my support group. Another person in my support group was having exubations at the same time. She gave me some hints, like take lemon drops.

Newbie: Possible episodic ataxia? Started only 3 weeks ago...
The symptoms got worse so I went to see a senior nurse 3 days later who thought I had vestibular
neuritis
so I got Prochloperazine. I had nystagmus at that time, which days later disappeared. On August 24th I noticed that my speech was slightly effortful, and I had difficulties in handwriting.

Vindicated! Diagnosis
So... drum roll... it turns out he was confident that my signs and symptoms are as a result of an infectious sacral plexus
neuritis
(probably HSV-1, HSV-2, EBV, or VZV viruses) and NOT fully attributable to FND.

Diabetes complications like blindness ( diabetes retinopathy), kidney failure ( nephropathy ), tingling and numbness of foot ( peripheral
neuritis
), amputations of limb ( gangrene ) and even ED are common and that makes life hell.

Some little known but important complications of diabetes.
We all know about diabetic retinopathy, nephropathy, peripheral
neuritis
and ED etc. There are other lesser known complications, about which I will talk in short. 1. Autonomic. Neuropathy-.- a condition in which the nerve associated with regulation of blood pressure heart rate, digestion is damaged.

Newly diagnosed, confused, in pain and waiting for a hospital appointment - what help is available to me?
Everyone assumed that it was Brachial
Neuritis
as the pain was only in my upper arms, at times 'radiating' out to my shoulders and neck, but within a few months I started getting pains, redness and swelling in my wrists, fingers, ankles, and as of yesterday, - my hip.

Optic Neuritis
Apparently the MRI shows a "Subtle enhancement of the left interorbital optic nerve but without thickening is nonspecific and may reflect an optic
neuritis
". Relevant eye symptoms include; pain in eye when moving, blurred vision, double vision, dry gritty eyes.

The RA consultant last week had said that he would not put me on medication for the RA until I got the optic
neuritis
and other symptoms under control and that I had to wait to see the neurologist. Now I am very confused, as you can well imagine.
