I have been taking ropinirole for more than 40 years. 1 mg at night. It works for me but now I am terrified because apparently it has been withdrawn and I can’t get it in any of the farmacias in the Valencia region. I tried gabapentin - no effect at wll. Anticoagulants and PPIs
Hi everyone, I have just had an annual medication review over the phone with a pharmacist. I am taking Apixaban 5mg twice daily together with low dose Flecainide (50mg x 2 daily) and Bisoprolol (2.5mg daily). The latter to offset any possible side effects from Flecainide!! I have been in sinus rhythm

Ablation advice
My EP has booked me in for an ablation within next six weeks (Sept 13) but didn’t explain why I need it. It took my cardiologist a year to consider arrhythmia and a further year for an EP to investigate it via loop monitor. I’ve been told it’s a rhythm and rate issue, it’s PAF, it’s ectopics, it’s

Dr. Buchfuhrer Webinar on RLS.org
Just wondered if anyone else watched the webinar 10/13/22? The audio was spotty first 20 minutes or so but interesting after it was fixed. He answered questions for an hour. He said there was new research on TENS for RLS that seemed hopeful but not complete. I had been trying accupuncture for RLS and

TENS Machines and AF
Hi, I recently posted about painkillers (for Femoral Nerve pain in my case) and the myriad potential side effects including heart rhythm problems, which put me off taking any painkillers at all. At an appointment with a physiotherapist today I asked if a home TENS Machine could be used to alleviate

Help needed interpreting ECG.
The following ECG was taken today prior to a planned angiogram following chest pains (which didn't take place owing to an issue with sedation). It apparently shows left bundle branch block, left axial deviation and inverted T waves. Does anyone know what the significance of these three is? Or how

SVT new diagnosis.
Hi I'm a new member I had a funny turn in March where I ended up in A&e with heart rate of 250. I was diagnosed with SVT. Had another episode this week. Heart rate got to 260. When they tried to bring it down it just kept flipping back to tachycardia. After several hours and a cardiologist with me

Ectopic Beats and AF
Joys!!! After having weird chest sensations that make me feel dizzy and nauseous dr has decided I have ectopic beats. This may be while I’ve felt funny recently. I couldn’t decided if it was anxiety or my heart. Other than the AF my heart is structurally sound (for now) so any advice about ectopics

Anxiety disorder, let's start at the beginning.
Let's start at the beginning. Maybe you inherited a tendency towards high anxiety. Maybe not, maybe your nerves have just been over-sensitised by too much stress. Too much over work, disappointment, loss, grief, toxic relationships, worry about friends or family. Finally, your nervous system decides

Is it possible to have a flare up of PMR without a change in predisolone dosage?
I have had PMR for over 2 years & I'm currently on 12mg of Pred. I have seen a Rheumatologist & started Methotrexate on 15th September10mg once a week but I have not started reducing the Pred yet. For the last 4-5 days I have been feeling cold, tired & aching all over & feel like I've got the flu.

How did we arrive at Disease?
I’ve often wondered how I ended up with Parkinson’s. Well the advent of Cov-vid may have inadvertently shed a light on this question. I began reading anecdotal reports, and articles saying that some people getting the cov-vid shot were experiencing a metallic taste in their mouth immediately following

Has anyone used a TENS machine to stimulate the Vagus nerve via the ear to reduce Afib?
I have Vagal Afib and recently started using a tens machine on my left ear twice daily for 15 minutes. Applied to the Concha in the ear and the ear lobe to complete the circuit. 20hZ at 200 microseconds, wetting the ear and contacts with some saliva to get a good connection. I discovered 2 months ago

Pain Management
Hi All, My husband's pain seems to be out of control. He says he hurts everywhere all the time, but mostly his whole right side, from his shoulder, arm, wrist all the way to his toes. He uses magnesium and heat, a tens machine as well as massage, CBD and acupuncture. But nothing really helps or lasts

shingles question
Hi, just wondered how dangerous it would be to if I were to come into contact with someone with shingles? My disabled daughter who lives in supported living has shingles and I’m due to see her soon. I’m now on 6mg prednisone- am I less compromised as it’s a lower dose? Thanks
