Ectopic Beats and AF

Joys!!! After having weird chest sensations that make me feel dizzy and nauseous dr has decided I have ectopic beats. This may be while I’ve felt funny recently. I couldn’t decided if it was anxiety or my heart. Other than the AF my heart is structurally sound (for now) so any advice about ectopics would be fab. Thanks x

I am much the same. The Apple Watch or Kardia is great for confirmation, but, I suppose, isn't needed as I can feel the ruddy things easily enough. On days when this is most acute, I also easily get mild tachycardia for some reason.

When some folk here write to say we all get ectopic beats, well - that's true, but it's one or two now and again. To me ectopic runs don't feel much different from AF and most definitely cause physical effects.

Hello Pingu778 if interested, I mainly have PACs (premature atrial contractions) as my ectopic beats and I have found some relief from them or reductions in symptoms by taking regular magnesium taurate, CoQenz10, breathing exercises, meditation, light exercise and some moderate yoga/ stretching. For more serious cases of ectopics (1000+ a day) you can be prescribed beta blockers or antiarrhythmics (or for very challenging situations even ablation). From other support sites people have also mentioned traditional chinese medicine (TCM) and acupunture as treatments for moderate to severe ectopics (but I cannot speak from experience here). For the most part though if you are having only a few ectopics a day they are likely benign unless triggering your afib.

I'm having exact same problem & cardioligist cannot understand why. Have a consultation next week as he says he wants to review heart rate medication (Digoxin) I've had lot of ectopics pre ablations but not made me feel like this. Will be interesting to see if others have been the same
