T3 and Desiccated Thyroid Prescriptions
The spreadsheet below corrects the errors in the original versions I posted as a response yesterday. Have also, hopefully, improved the spreadsheet! The entries are sorted by Region, Area, PCO and Practice. I have included Liothyronine, Cytomel, Nature-Throid, Erfa and Armour in the single spreadsheet

Thyroid levels
On 09/25/2014 my TSH level was 1.61, T4 Free was 1.40 and T3 Total is 148, does this mean I am going towards Hypothyroid or Hyperthyroid. I am feeling all the symptoms of Hypothyroid. I am on Synthroid 0.50 mcg and she just gave me Cytomel 5mcg, is this going to help me not gain so much weight. Thanks

Thyroid Blood results
I've been on T3 for around 12 months now on the recommendation of Dr P. Was taking Thyroxine 200mcg for 30 odd years after total thyroidectomy. GP reluctantly prescribed 20mcg Liothyronine, which I supplement with Cytomel from Mexico 25mcg. Have been getting increasingly tired and cold of late - GP

About to start T3 - desperate....
I know that it isn't the Holy Grail but I don't know what else to do. I read and read on here, but end up more confused and uncertain. As I wrote before, have so many of the signs and symptoms of hypo - saw Dr P and have taken the Nutri Adrenal Extra for two months. I thought it was helping but still

Where can I get T3 fairly speedily
HI All I am taking Cytomel (from Mexico) but heave just heard from the pharmacy that due to extra postal checks (terrorist safety procedures) it will take a long time to get here. I have a private prescription from my Endo, but cant take the Mercury stuff as I have an allergic reaction to the fillers

THYROXINE and CYTOMEL
Hi, I have been on Thyroxine for 24 years and someone mentioned to me that they also take Cytomel and since combining the two they felt better immediately. Does anyone else do this and if so can you get it on NHS prescription or do you have to order it privately from internet.

T4 levoythyroxine and T3 Cytomel combination therapy for under active Thyroid
As cannot get help via GP and Endocrinologists, am sorting myself out from the massive fatigue of under active thyroid so obviously not converting T4 into T3 the active form that conserves and access energy from food in your body. The one thing I cannot find out from any American site so far, is whether

Compounded T3 vs Prescription Cytomel or Generic
My pharmacist recently compounded by T3 as it works out to be much much cheaper than Cytomel. Has anyone used compounded vs cytomel or other prescription by Paddock (generic) and found a difference?

My pharmacist told me that he cannot get T3 liothyronine tablets and doesn't know if when he can get it -Is it called cytomel in Spain?
He reminded me there was only one UK supplier. If you are running low, get some now! I am visiting Spain soon. Is it called cytomel or cynomel in Spain? Can you buy it over counter? Thanks Sandra

Did anyone feel tired after starting Liothyronine, the generic for Cytomel?
I have been on levothyroxine 75mcg for about 30 years but my T3 levels are at or below the normal range. I just began to take Liothyronine 5mcg three days ago and about 1/2 hour after I take it I feel really sleepy. Is my body just getting adjusted to this new medication? Is this normal? The pharmacist

New blood results..after a reduction in 12.5mcg ...ft3 now BELOW range :-/ Any thoughts on them please?
I saw Dr P last september and the result of the consultation was despite my ft3 being ABOVE range (7.3 range 4-6.8) on 62.5mcg cytomel and remaining symptomatic though greatly improved, to first try and raise t3 again before trying Armour. I'd also passed my adrenal physical tests, so I raised to 75mcg

Is anyone on a combination of t4 and t3 treatments? Blue Horizon test shows my T3 is at the bottom of the range.
Hi I am still experiencing many symptoms of hypo despite taking 50mcg of Levothyroxine since Nov 2013. Tired, insomnia, aches and gaining weight. By the way, all bloods done by GP in December 13 showed that B12, Vit D, ferritin and folate levels are okay. I did an Advanced Thyroid Profile home

Hypothyroidism and depression: salient aspects of pathogenesis and management
This paper makes me ask: How many anti-depressants are you expected to try (and many of them are acknowledged to make things worse to begin with, and require weeks to ramp up and then tail off) before you might, if very lucky, get the chance to try liothyronine (T3)? (And given current GP/endo attitudes
