Carbidopa levodopa conflicts:

There is a well-known conflict with consumption of protein at the same time

Carbidopa levodopa should also not be taken together with vitamin B6. B6 can be found in just about any multivitamin or b complex. B6 should be taken but at a different time than carbidopa levodopa. For details see my writing here:

Here is a list of carbidopa levodopa interactions:

Does that mean that if you take B6 at the same time as c/l it won’t work? Funny, no one told me this. 2Of my c/l doses I take a b multi vitamin at the same time. I’ve never felt all that better with c/l which is supposed toBe the best?

Vitamin B6 and carbidopa if taken together will inactivate each other. Exactly how much will depend on the relative amounts of each.

I do not know that there is a particular brand of C/L is the best, however, most Parkinson's patients do better on timed release versions.

Hi there, I have been dxd for 15yrs now and the only medication I have taken consistently is Requip (Ropinirole). At various times I have had a substitute as supplies were depleted. I have found that Co Careldopa is not so effective as Requip - for me! It may be the way in which it is metabolised which causes this or the binding agent in the tablet or the colouring - I have had these reactions in the past.

Try levodopa in the usuaĺ dose as fixed combination and one opticapone per day and leave the time of yello piss behind you. Ask your physician, whether you need dioxin, a drug with a lot of side effects.
