I got out of bed on Thursday morning and once I started walking, my left inner upper thigh - not quite in the groin - began to ache. It continued off and on (mildly) into the day and I hobbled around at work. The pain was fairly manageable at that point, and I was able to walk the dog. On Friday it got slightly worse, then worse again yesterday, and so here we are on Sunday and I’m really struggling! I don’t recall straining it or doing anything to cause an injury. If I’m lying down or sitting, the pain dissipates, and bending my knee when lying down is where I’m most comfortable. Once I’m on my feet and take a few steps the pain kicks in. Strangely, if I stand with a bend my knee and don’t put any weight on it, it eases off slightly. I took a naproxen (with a stomach saver) this morning and have just taken a couple of paracetamol so I’m hoping a few days of pill popping might see it off. My question is: is this likely to be a a pulled muscle or trapped nerve (I’m susceptible to those!) or could it be a flare??? With it being one sided I’m a bit unsure of it being the latter but could really do with your expert opinions please. I’m off to see my GP on Weds afternoon to discuss other “stuff” but would like to nip whatever this is in the bud and get back to my usual fairly active self. Obviously if this continues, I will be adding this to my list of “stuff” to discuss with him.
I was planning to drop to 6.5mg tomorrow after a month of 6.75mg but I’m going to hold off for another few days.
Flare or trapped nerve or some kind of strain?? Thoughts please!!! Many thanks.
