Any ideas: Naltrexone vs Prednisone
I recently came across a report from someone on a PMR support site that named an alternative drug for PMR called LDN or Low Dose
Naltrexone
. Any knowledge or experience regards this - LDN ? Just curious and in case the socalled PMR returns. Thanks and peace.

Experience with LDN?
I’m hearing that low dose
naltrexone
addresses symptoms other than tremors and beneficial and benign. My neurologist doesn’t want to prescribe it. I could go to a naturopath for a prescription but wondering what luck others have had with it.

Dreaded Itch!
I have taken Cholestryamine light, Gabapentin, Sertraline, Rifampicin, Fenofibrate and
Naltrexone
for my unbearable itching, with no relief. I recently have taken part and finished a trial at QEH Birmingham for pruritus, called Glimmer by GSK.

She quickly became involved in the Low Dose
Naltrexone
family and was amazed at the way it has changed people’s lives. Samantha is also the point person at Belmar for Clinical Trials and assists research coordinators in the dispensing of study medications.

Russell was diagnosed with a lethal cancer called non-hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2016 and conventional treatments gave only a temporary reprieve.
He was later treated for Graves’ disease which led him to LDN (Low Dose
Naltrexone
). His latest PET scans show no signs of cancer! Listen to his compelling story.

LDN low dose naltrexone and PMR
Does anyone have any experience of this? A friend with ME has sent me a bit of information/links for this drug so I have had a bit of a read. It is suggested for PMR but there appears to be only anecdotal evidence. I’m unsure whether it is a treatment instead of prednisolone or alongside? Is it worth

Low heart rate 2 months after Pacemaker and AV node ablation
I started with Low dose
naltrexone
[LDN] 2 months ago and am now on 4 mg. i am using this to help normalise my immune system which is out of whack with Myalgic Encephemyilitis. MY health improved with at first my energy levels rising and then after about 4 weeks my pain levels decreased.
