Naltrexone

When I first joined this website over a year ago there was much discussion about LDN and the beneficial effect it was having on some PwP symptoms. However, since then it has hardly been mentioned. I am asking if anyone is still taking LDN and what are the benefits they experience?

I am on questran, urso, sertraline, naltrexone, rifampicin, calcichew, thyroxine, chloraphenamine as well as eye drops and menthol/epaderm creams. I am sure I have forgotten to add something but can't remember off the top of my head.

My rheumatologist has asked me to try Plaquenil, which I am finding very hard to tolerate and I am interested in the potential promise offered by low dose naltrexone (LDN), as an alternative to steroids, etc.

It doesn't seem that they are incompatible together as the LDN supposedly increases endorphin levels and plaquenil,well,as I understand it the jury is still out there, but it does seem to work differently.I'd be interested in any feedback.

I have used LDN and Topiramate for a couple of years after being told (wrongly) I have CFS. LDN is an Immune Modulator and Topiramate is for Migraines. A couple of people on here have said they're taking LDN, low-dose naltrexone. Does it help? In what way(s)? How long did it take to have an effect? Any downsides? I have given details on LDN to all my consultants, including Professor Khamashta.

Has anyone any experience of LDN? A friend has been prescribed it through the Doctor though has to pay privately for it for his MS but is also used for other conditions and one of them listed is COPD. TAD

I take urso, naltrexone, questran, rifampicin, antihistamines and clonazepam, I have lost my get-up-and-go and my sex drive because of all my different meds.

High everyone, I have recently been sent information about the use of this drug, Naltrexone, at very low doses for autoimmune diseases like Lupus and R.A. It is apparently a very old, and cheap, drug previously used at much higher doses to combat opioid addictions (!!)

However I have been using Low Dose Naltrexone for a year in the hope that it would help with these issues, and certainly I haven't had another LP incidence since I started.

What I wondered is had anyone tried low dose naltrexone for fibro and felt it made a big difference x

Hi all, new to this type of thing, so please bear with me, but I'd like to know if anyone has any info on a drug called Naltrexone in the treatment of lung cancer? Also, are there any benefits in using super high doses of vitamin D for someone with lung cancer? any advice would be useful, thanks.
