Myocarditis
after two long stays in hospital my outpatient with the consultant is two months away so I paid to see a lovely doctor privately as I have been having erratic pulse hit 140 while at rest and constant chest pain.

Myocarditis
I’m on week 3 of
myocarditis
. Now I’m waiting for MRI. I have ECG changes, chest pain, tachycardia (105 bpm in rest, and 120-160 with minimal physical activity), my blood tests are ok. I feel very sad and hope to find information about recovery time.

Gym and fitness
I’ve been recovering from a heart attack caused by
myocarditis
for around 3 months. I was wondering how do I try to incorporate a active gym lifestyle with the condition? I’ve been back to work for 6 weeks after taken 6 weeks off and feel as if I can start going back into that routine.

Struggling with myocarditis
Went into hospital over new year and ended up being diagnosed with
myocarditis
. As a 21 year old relatively fit person it wasn’t something I expected to have to deal with. I’ve had to stop doing sports I enjoy and the worry of it is always in the back of my head.

Myocarditis confusion
No BP problems, choesterol ok, exercised regularly reasonable diet etc My questions are can
myocarditis
cause sudden severepain? Has anyone else had similar symptoms and can fast, slow and pauses in HR correct themselves after
myocarditis
is this likely to be permanent damage? Thanks

a trip to the cardiologist
thankfully went to see my cardiologist yesterday to get some answers and he confirmed that this was not
myocarditis
and that I had definately had a heart attack causing mild damage to the LV. this was due to a blood clot but what was interesting was that he mentioned that the MRI scan showed some abnormality

Chronic myocarditis
Hi 👋🏼 So my
myocarditis
is ongoing - 5 months now and it has no tolerance for activity at all. My Rheumatologist thinks a short course of corticosteroids might help but my cardiologist doesn’t seem convinced. I’m getting a second opinion.

Spontaneous aortic dissection
I went for my MRI yesterday to see if the
myocarditis
had left any damage. The consult told me afterwards that I haven’t got
myocarditis
but that I had spontaneous aortic dissection! As a result a small part of my heart muscle has died. Has anyone else been diagnosed with this?

Down another week
Had my cardiac mri this morning confirming the
myocarditis
. It’s mild which is good but still healing from it and being a single mom doesn’t help. Her dad’s around but not very helpful. Last night thought I was gonna have to go back to the hospital.

feeling confused.... again..
so after initially thinking I had a heart attack in november at 31 my arteries were found to be clear in an angiogram. they then diagnosed
myocarditis
which I was hopeful would clear over time with no lasting damage.

Do not know whether methotrexate would be better for me than prednisolone
I also have a heart murmur after having
myocarditis
in 1981 and have had raised cholesterol for many years.

myocarditis recovery
I'm 5 weeks post diagnosis but still awaiting an mri. I just wondered if anyone else during recovery suffered with short, sharp chest pains. oddly they seem to start on the right of my chest or from down my right arm/armpit, occasionally they come from my bottom jaw . my upper back feels very tight and

Does myocarditis sound likely?
Hi all I know I'm not going to find definite answers here but just looking for advice really. Back in November I developed a viral infection. It didn't last too long but I started to getting palpitations and shortness of breath which resulted in me taking a trip to the hospital. After a blood test

Myocarditis
I’m 36 and 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with
myocarditis
. I’m on beta blockers and ibuprofen. I keep getting aches still in my chest area, nothing really severe like when I was diagnosed but they are uncomfortable. Is this common?

My Mum had a cardiac arrest in May out of nowhere whilst we were on holiday, she has had an ICD with pacemaker fitted and is doing well, however her diagnosis is currently still cardiac arrest as the likely result of
