I was diagnosed with Myocarditis after two long stays in hospital my outpatient with the consultant is two months away so I paid to see a lovely doctor privately as I have been having erratic pulse hit 140 while at rest and constant chest pain. He’s referring me to barts as they want to look at any underlying problems and wants me to see a rheumatologist. Has anyone else had this and know what it could be connected with?

Hi Loudo78,
I am so sorry you have been troubled by these symptoms following your recent hospital stay. Although it is good that your doctor is referring you for further investigations, if you have symptoms such as chest pain and the feeling of a racing heart beat,I would advise you attend your local A&E. They would be able to perform an ECG and do tests to exclude underlying issues such as an irregular heart rhythm and infection.
I hope you feel better soon.
Take care,
Philippa
