Scary symptoms
I have been losing weight over the past 4 months, from 167 to 123. I have been anemic for years, and in rhe beginning of this 4 months, the symptoms were vague and i thought it was the flu. Doc said i had extremely low iron and vitamin B12 deficiency. as well as vitamin D. I am on all of these still

Some superstition, some serious...
Ok before I start waffling on - I know that a lot of this stuff is just superstition but itās only like the placebo effect isnāt it? If you believe that it could work then it might just bloody well work! So, I have a fertility bracelet that Iāve been wearing for a couple of months, some Wonder Woman

B12 in Multivitamin
Hi all, I was diagnosed with PA & Celiac Disease last October after being sick for more than 6 years. 4 of which I could barely put one foot in front of the other let alone remember why I was trying in the 1st place. Every doctor I saw immediately prescribed antidepressants, (which I refused to take

AMH increase after taking supplements for 6 weeks.
So after being diagnosed with a very low AMH level for my age (4.5 pmol - I'm 29) I did some research and have been taking dhea, unbiquinol, pregnacare plus extra vit d, vit e&c and omega 3 and got my level retested and it has risen to 7.1 pmol in just 6 weeks. Starting to feel a little more positive

Adcal-D3 clashing
Hallo, my doctor has prescribed Adcal-D3. I have been taking MacuShield for eyes along with Centrum multivitamin for women over 50. Any views on taking all this would be welcome, just wondering if I should drop some of them.

B12 injections discontinued
Hi there I had B12 deficiency diagnosed a couple of years ago, and as it wasnāt diet related, my GP put me on lifelong B12 injections even though he didnāt feel I really needed them as IFA was negative (this was in Hull following HEY guidelines I suppose). He was very dismissive of my neurological symptoms

Exercise with Hypothyroidism
A month ago I had the right side of my thyroid removed because of enlarged nodules. It started with a lump by my Adam's apple a year and half ago, which lead to an ultrasound that found the nodules. The surgeon said to wait and watch it for a year. During that year I continuously gained weight regardless

Self-injection and holidays: how do you do it ?
I'm still injecting B12 every other day, and this, along with taking
multivitamins
and minerals, extra folic acid and vitamin D seems to be the only way to actually improve for me.

Vitamin A? Please tell me have I done the wrong thing?
Have been thinking about TTC, then TTC, then had a miscarriage and back to TTC in the last 2 years. All the way through I've been taking a standard multivitamin and mineral tablet as it seemed to have everything in it, including folic acid. Then for some reason I read the small print yesterday and it

What is the amount of biotin likely to affect thyroid blood tests?
Hi everyone, I had planned to do a Medichecks blood test early next week, Monday or Tuesday, but have only just remembered the advice given to stop biotin 4/5 days before the test. I take a multivitamin containing 30mcg biotin. Is this enough to adversely affect the results (TSH, FT4 and FT3)? Obviously
