Time to do battle with my weight!
Hi, I'm new here! I actually came onto the Nhs website to find out my B.M.I. (Body Mass Index) I am reading Dr. Michael Moseley's excellent book 'The 8-Week Blood Sugar Diet' as I'd been told by my surgery, after my last wrinklie's M.O.T. that my blood sugar was on the high side. Gulp. Fortunately

8 week Blood Sugar Diet
This post is particularly for fatgirlwantsalife but I thought I'd share it more widely. I've been on my weightloss journey for coming up to 5 years now (end of this month) and have used a number of different ways to get the scales moving in a downwards direction - as I have found sticking to the "same old routine

Hi not been on here for a while. I wonder if someone can suggest best foods to eat. I know with having the above health issues it's more difficult to lose weight. Feel like I've come to a stop .

Feeling a bit lost
Hi all, So I was recently diagnosed with diabetes Type II; as one aspect of metabolic syndrome. On Wednesday, I met with the diabetes nurse for the first time and it did not go well. In fact, I left feeling depressed, discouraged, and resentful. I also got the impression that I was there not to start

Update since supplementing Vits for 3 weeks
As I wrote previously, I was on Metformin 1000mg for a "diagnosis" of Type 2 diabetes, which after advice on here, I found out that it was the culprit in malabsorption of B12 (mine was 199 and insufficient). With Drs agreement I stopped taking the Metformin and started supplementing B12, Selenium,Vit

Diagnosis
After over 10 years of being told I was type 2, I just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Any information or help would be appreciated. Also, I have this lump on my head which won't heal. Saw my GP today who has referred me to a dermatologist. I know it's difficult, but does anyone have any idea

How many hours do we need to fast before blood tests.
Hi I have repeat blood tests on Thursday morning as I had weird results a few weeks ago. Do we have to fast for 12 hours before tests or is 8 hours enough. It is that I like a small protein snack before bed to help with blood sugar levels so find the 12 hours difficult Thank you.
