Movicol help (again!)
I have taken a sachet of
Movicol
every night for the past 7 years after a rectocele repair and hysterectomy. On top of the IBS I've suffered from for 30 years, the need to take
Movicol
is the bane of my life because it exacerbates the IBS symptoms.

13 month old in movicol. Overwhelmed
Tonight he wet the bed which he did at the beginning with constipation (before he was ever on
movicol
) because he feeds a lot at night when his tummy is unsettled. I am now increasing to 2 tomorrow. He is doing medium amounts of type 6 now.

Help! Wondering why my 3.5 year old suddenly stopped pooping mid- disimpaction!
He has been on 8 junior
movicol
sachets for last 4- 5 days, today we decided to give him 7 sachets instead as he has had watery nappies for 4 days at least.

Does she need more
movicol
? More pico? She drinks 1.4l minimum a day and has plenty of fruit and veg. Gluten and dairy free too. We have no idea what we are doing or doing wrong. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Disimpacted 9 year old and still soiling
Or is she unable to control it due to too much
movicol
? She is also very bloated and starting to describe herself as fat which breaks my heart. We are helpless. Brown bread, dairy free butter and milk… lots of fruit and vegetables and lots of water.

Advice for pelvic pain please!!
The constipation was a trigger towards the bladder incontinence so I was put on
movicol
for a few months but it then started affecting my IBS so I came off this.

Attended Late Effects Clinic - Answers at last
Peppermint tea helps but it also bring a "clearing" effect close to
Movicol
for me (not really but you get the idea) so I have been given Colpermin which are slow release peppermint oil to see if that helps.

at a loss again
We have been slowly reducing her
movicol
down - she is on 5 sachets a day, plus 2.5ml of pico and a fibre supplement. She had not had a formed poo since mid-June (all type 6/7) until a couple of days ago. She now has perfect type 4 poos.

Put on few medications ,
movicol

5yo Withholding, Soiling, Disimpaction, Soiling Again
We then reduced her maintenance dose to 4 sachets of
Movicol
, then 3 and now 2 over the course of a few weeks, judged on consistency. Since stopping disimpaction we’ve tried to implement a good toilet routine with regular toilet sits. Sometimes she’ll go during these and sometimes not.

Continuous constipation Dr's unwilling to help 😭
He's been on
Movicol
for over 2 years with no checkup from his Dr's no matter how much I chase and his current Dr's has refused to try a stimulant even after mentioning the duty of care I'd seen on the Eric website.

Movicol everyday/ Tummy ache
She has been on 1x
Movicol
every day for the past 4 years and if we miss it for a few days she will experience overflow. Then I will have to give her Dulcolax to clear out which she hates. This was all recommended by her consultant.

Withholding, pain and severe difficulty with oral medication
Have literally worked our way through everything on every website several times....even chocolate
Movicol
was too salty to her and she won't entertain it in ice-cream for example. Basically if she knows it's in there her brain won't let her do it - fight/flight response ensues straightaway.

struggling!!
I’ve been taking Alverine and Colpermin and have just started
Movicol
. I spoke with my lovely GP this morning and he feels certain that this is my bowels getting ‘backed ip’ due to my IBS. He’s recommended taking
Movicol
daily and Senna when needed.
