Non insulin injections for type 2
Hi. I have a long and complicated health history which includes: thyroid cancer, type 2 diabetes and ckd. I was hoping for feedback from anyone who has or is using a weekly non insulin injection. I am currently on Diamicron 120 and Glixambi, but my body just isn’t coping and my last hba1c was 9.1!

Hunger while calorie counting first week
Hi all I’m counting calories to lose weight and I’m hungry a lot. It’s week one but definitely finding it a bit hard. I’ve been overeating all the time for years so it’s necessary I restrict the volume. But, getting hungry about an hour after each eating session. What have others developed as strategies

What do people mean when they say….
Diet
This phrase is a bit ambiguous: it can mean way of eating, see below, or it can mean a temporary weight loss plan that you only do for a short amount of time, before returning to your previous diet. See? It's confusing!
WOE/Way of eating
The term diet has negative connotations

My dad had the oropharyngeal cancer for 8 months and then he was diagnosed with stage 1 esophageal cancer as well. Yesterday he got follow up health check and everything is fine now. But his doctor suggested that he could take Nimotuzumab injection in order to improve his immune system. We can’t

Diabetas
I had my well woman yearly check-up. Today I have a letter from my doctor saying. I am at risk of type two diabetes. I am so disappointed. Most of the time I do have a good diet and loads of fruit and veg. I am a little overweight, so I will really try and cut down on my food. I did read somewhere

Blood sugar levels may influence vulnerability to coronavirus
By a researcher: But, it turns out, hydroxychloroquine might be able tolower blood sugar like metformin. W3 R1 Pass!!
So I re-ran W3 R1 today, I'm very pleased to say I ran the whole duration and even had a little left in the tank for a sprint in the last 10 seconds (when I say sprint, It was more like an uncoordinated stumble) Just wanted to say thanks for all the replies to my previous post and absolutely the mistake

PRAISE FOR MY GP SURGERY AND LOCAL PHARMACY
My surgery operates an online service for repeat prescriptions (and other services). I ordered my next lot of supplies last Sunday and included an additional note requesting my next lot of Coaguchek test strips. My last order of test strips was a year ago before surgery went online, so I was unsure

Quercetin studies
I wanted to reach out to this community to see if anyone has heard about Quercetin Supplements? I found some fascinating studies about Quercetin. It's a bioflavonoid found in fruits, you can get high dosages of it via supplementation. Some studies have shown that Quercetin has a bronchodilator effect

Should I worry?
Hi. I’m not diagnosed with Diabetes, but I've had a couple of symptoms for a long time. I bought a home testing kit, but have only really been testing in the mornings. So, what would you call fasting tests?
Most days
, it’s been
6-6.3, one day 5.6
. Should I be concerned? Any thoughts

Definitive List of Additives that come from Wheat/Gluten Source?
Hi I'm checking if anyone has a definitive list/source of information as to all the food additives that do/may come from a wheat/gluten source or might present a risk to those who are 'highly sensitive' to gluten (i.e. need 0ppm). To date, my knowledge on this is: - Glucose (when source non-specified

No sugar challenge week 2
Not sure if anyone has cut their sugar this week? I haven't managed it 100% my grandfather passed away and it threw me, I'm back on it now though! Had my 1st diabetic check and waiting for the results, hope the weight I've lost so far has made a difference!

Enterococcus faecalis and Sinemet
Are there supplements one can take to reduce E Faecalis naturally? Other than Camomille, which I already drink, and garlic, which I already take in my food, I didn’t find much. According to this link, posted by aspergerian13 a few days ago, https://www.pnas.org/content/early/2020/04/07/2003785117 ,
