Mohs surgery

It’s a week out from my MOHs surgery for the skin cancer on my scalp. It turned out much easier than I expected and I had almost no pain. I’m sure that part of that is because the spot was small. I just hope to never experience that again! I’ll be updating my neuro with my latest test results.

Have any CLL patients had Mohs surgery at MD Anderson? How was your experience? TIA

Yesterday I had MOHS surgery on my nose, followed by reconstructive surgery to fill the gap.

In my case, it was a skin cancer on my head which was excised via MOHs surgery. Biopsied as a pleomorphic dermal sarcoma and, it was thought, fully "cleared". Unfortunately for me, it metastasized to my lung nine months later.

Hi I have ankylosing spondylitis and inject 100ml of Simponi every 4 weeks, I just had MOHs surgery for skin cancer on my nose. I got an infection so this messed up my injections, did my injection then injected again 3 weeks later as pain was horrific.

I never get a temperature and have had several infections, one being on my nose wound after MOH’s surgery. I am fed up with having to explain and being made to feel like I’m neurotic!! Anyone else????? Sorry for the moan!!

My dermatologist has suggested and prescribed the above medications for my face and neck for my ongoing battle with actinic keratosis and squamous cell carcinoma ( 6 mohs surgeries). Has anybody used this treatment for their skin? From what I read, it is a topical chemotherapy.

I had Moh’s surgery because they had to take a few layers until all was clear under the microscope. This was June 13th. Went back 2 weeks later to get the stitches out. A couple weeks after that, I noticed a little white thing stickup out of the suture line. Well, I had to see the surgical nurse.

She took a quick look at my medical history there and then and said she would speak to the specialist GP in women’s health at my surgery. This is a different GP to the GP I had spoken to back in 2023.

Hi everyone. 13 years post surgery for rectal cancer. The usual problems but my incontinence is getting worse recently. I take Imodium religiously- at least one a day if not two. However, every so often my bowel decides it must evacuate no matter how much Imodium taken.

have Normsl tension glaucoma Recently had cataract and I stent surgery both eyes Starting with hayfever and not sure what I’m allowed to take it for it

Has anyone else just been treated with statins and not had surgery or stent and if so how long have you just taken statins and how did you did find out if it had improved. Mine didn’t show on an echocardiogram but only showed on 3d cardiac cat scan. Thank you in advance 😊

Just wanted to hear people’s experiences with Ryeqo, as my consultant feels it is too early for another surgery and just wants to see if this manages symptoms. Thanks x

What bothers me is whether this is standard procedure and will it affect any future surgery, has this happened to anyone else?

I want to write a firm email to my GP surgery but where do I start! I've done a little research on this fantastic site and come across the link about the government advise for prescribing Levothyroxine which I might forward in my email. Back on my merry go round I go!

with pain for over sixteen year and wrongly diagnosed with vulvodynia, would this make me stage 4. 5) does sex get better after surgery as I'm in a lot of pain ..

My other option is to have it sewn up which is day surgery. I am nearly 67 years old been single for a long time not looking for relationship so I am leaning towards the sewing up. Has anyone had it done and is it better I would like to know.

Almost 3.5 years of IVF (started in 2022) 3 rounds of IVF, including myomectomy surgery inbetween, hospitalised on my 1st round with OHSS… on my 3rd transfer I’ve finally seen my 1st BFP!

Just that this is elective surgery (but for something which is also affecting my QOL) and I'm trying to set my expectations. And perhaps also figure out whether to get this done before or after an ablation. Anyway, thanks for the all the replies.

My GP surgery are checking calcium levels and bone profile in couple of weeks. Thanks for any advice, appreciate you may not be able to comment on test results etc. BTW I don’t drink alcohol, lots of water but occasional bit of lemonade to flavour the water!
