Hi there. As you have normal tension glaucoma and not narrow angles/angle closure glaucoma you should be fine to take antihistamines. Antihistamines and other medications are usually only a problem for those with narrow angles and angle closure glaucoma. The exception for this is with steroids. Please let your consultant know of any new medications that you are taking.

Hi, is there anything you can take with narrow angles for hayfever or do we just ride it out? Thanks 🙂

Unless you have had lens replacement or successful laser treatment (Iridotomy) it is not recommended for people with narrow angles.

Ok thank you. I have had an iridotomy but my angles remained narrow. I will avoid!

Thanks
