Flare and the unbelievable pain
I got diagnosed over a year ago with UCTD even though I fit everything for LUPUS except the positive ANA's and have been on Plaquenil ever since. Life has been well. Only a flare or two since until now. About 3 weeks ago I started having shooting pains in various parts of my body, especially my right

Tolerable pain, horrible brain
Hi all, this is my second post. I think this forum is amazing, not only for people with diagnosed conditions but also undiagnosed worriers like me. I recognise my worries pale in comparison to those with confirmed problems and my heart goes out to those coping with liver conditions. I have been in

Headaches that won't go away
Hi! I'm new to this so here it goes. I'm 48 and have had anxiety for about 3 years now. At the same time I started having tension headaches. Doc put me on amrix for headaches which seemed to work great. Take Klonopin as needed for my anxiety. Everything seemed to be going okay and then in June started

JOINT PROBLEMS and CMT
I have had CMT for most of my adult life but was only diagnosed when I was in my late 40's. I am now 64. Doctors in South Africa don't seem to know much about this disease. All my joints seem to have been affected and I was wondering if there is anyone who has a similar problem. I had a total hip

Good day!!
I say my surgeon yesterday for a follow up. He asked about my symptoms since I have been healing and he was extremely pleased that things have gone well so far. He was surprised to hear that I caught the onset of pluracy which means I didn't need antibiotics and just a little tramadol and Motrin for

Very late night
So I went to the Emergency room yesterday for a chest x-ray. That came back clear but they did see I tiny bit of fluid in the lining of the lung. So they ran more tests to rule out pnemonia or anything else. My husband was not happy it took untill 2 am this morning to get to come home. I feel bad for

DVT Blood Clot left leg
Hi, 35 yr old female. I just found out I had DVT, my foot (left) would swell from time to time. Did not think too much about it, I have identical twin boys and do alot of chasing. Dismissed it as too much salt..etc. On the 21st of last month my foot had gotten a bit bigger than anytime before. But

Post surgery pain meds
Hello! I am 10 days post lap. They found stage 3 endo. They said it was pretty extensive and excised all endo they could find. I also had a fibroid removed from outside of my uterus with internal sutures. My ovary and colon were fused together so they were untethered. My recovery has been up and down

NSAIDs Might Cause More Harm Than Previously Believed
NSAIDs like aspirin, Motrin, Advil, and Celebrex suppress inflammation and are often used by athletes to reduce the pain associated with intense exercise. However, new research shows that those who take them may experience just as much soreness after a workout than those who don't. Worse, NSAIDs possibly

Hope for slowing or halting PD: 5 repurposed drugs that are in clinical trials that show very strong promise
There are 5 Repurposed drugs currently being trialed and 2 (Israpidine and Inosine) are in Phase III. Those involved in a trial, or involved outside of a trial, can offer valuable feedback- Israpidine, used to control high blood pressure with a calcium channel blocker, can cross the blood brain barrier

I thought it was getting better 😔 😢
Hi ladies, So, I was diagnosed with endo roughly 12 years ago after the birth of my first child and further diagnosed with adeno via MRI approx 4 years ago after my youngest. I've tried various treatments etc etc and have stuck with the Evra patch on and off for the past 4ish years as I've found it

A lot easier than I thought. Once I got past the initial couple of weeks the rest seemed to fall Into place. I still have

cMT11 and DNA testing
CMT11 and DNA test Hi, my husband is due to have DNA and EM tests next week to confirm suspected diagnosis. We do not know if anyone else in the family has had CMT, my husband did not know his father. He is struggling with having to pass this info on to his Son and grandchildren should it be confirmed
