Post surgery pain meds

Hello! I am 10 days post lap. They found stage 3 endo. They said it was pretty extensive and excised all endo they could find. I also had a fibroid removed from outside of my uterus with internal sutures. My ovary and colon were fused together so they were untethered. My recovery has been up and down. I got my period 4 days post op(just as I was feeling better!) and it was a bit rocky until today. I'm finally feeling more myself. My question is about Motrin. I took pain meds for 3 days then transitioned to 800mg Motrin every 8 hours. Is it helpful with internal healing to continue this regimen? I can handle the pain without it, but if it's helping my insides to heal, I want to keep taking just wasn't sure for how long? Thank you so much for any input! Laura
