Total Hyst, best HRT??
Hi, I had hyst 2 years ago and gynae put me on Estrogel. After a while I found it very messy and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and thought hormones might be making me worse. GP put me back on Livial. I have horrible side effects so keep stopping and starting it and my general health is far worse.

estrogen and progesterone
I hope it's OK to ask about HRT here: The so called Hormone doctors in Belgium seem to prescribe progesterone and estrogen for all their female patients over 40. I was put on both P and E five years ago, at age 42. At the time, I was not nearly as informed and knowledgeable about hormone replacement

would appreciate input on sex hormone levels and prescribed treatment
I would really appreciate some input on my sex hormone levels and the treatment prescribed. I had labs on July 29, and saw my doctor a week later. I was then prescribed Oestrogel (0.06%) to be applied to skin day 5-25 of cycle, along with Utrogestan (200 mg), to be taken at bedtime day 15-25 of cycle

Worried about Rosacea
The doctor put me on some Doxycyline mid June which I was on for 3 weeks but had some reactions to (blurry vision) so I switched to
Metrogel
. My skin has already cleared up a lot considering i've only been having treatment for about 4 weeks.

Total hysterectomy after Endometriosis nightmare
After many years of Endometriosis I finally had Total Hysterectomy & both ovaries removed. I managed 2 months without any HRT but had been on herbal/holistic approach. Unfortunately I developed hair loss & Vaginal atrophy so asked to be put on a low dose oestrogel which for 2 month worked wonderfully

grateful for advice on HRT
I hope it's ok to ask this question here, although it's not strictly thyroid-related. My question is about HRT and peri-menopause. When I went to see my first Hertoghe doctor in Belgium, in late 2011, I was 42 years old and was put on both progesterone (Utrogestan) and Estrogel; the former to be taken

instead of or in addition to estrogen and progesterone?
I have been reading a lot about alternative treatment for menopause problems lately. My problems are not that bad actually; at least not yet (I'll turn 47 later this month, but I read somewhere that hypothyroid women tend to go through menopause a few years earlier than euthyroid women where the average

has anyone here used estrogen?
I hope it's ok to ask this question here, but there is so much knowledge and expertise here that I really hope that someone has come across the same problem: I was put on Estrogel in January 2012, along with Utrogestan (natural progesterone). Estrogel was to be taken day 5-25 of cycle, and progesterone

have seen four so called top doctors, so really in need of advice
OK, so I am feeling pretty confused right now, and would really appreciate some advice on how to move further: I went to see my first Hertoghe doctor in 2004, in H's practice. I had been on thyroxine for three years, after being diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease in late 2000, but it never did much

periods just stopped
I had my last normal period in April of this year, after being regular for over 25 years (I am 46). I went to see an OB-Gyn who examined me, sent labs for testing, and prescribed the drug Primolut Nor which I was supposed to take for ten days. A week after taking it, I did have my period. That was in

can periods just stop...?
I was hoping to know if anyone else has experienced this? I have not had my period in nine weeks, and my periods have always been like clockwork since my early 20s. I am now 46. My OB-gyn put me on a drug called Primolut Nor 10 mg and told me to take it for 20 days, and then I would have my period.

male hormones?
I am curious to find out if anyone here has been prescribed testosterone? I am not sure what to think about T supplementation in women, and it seems to be a highly controversial subject. My doctor (a Hertoghe doctor) said my T levels were lowish, and prescribed Testim. In the package leaflet, it says

menopause?!
I am not sure this is the right place to ask this question, but I am hoping someone here has been through the same thing. I turned 46 a month ago. About six months ago, I noticed my periods started coming more and more often; they went from very regular (27-28 days apart for the past 20 or so years

Hi everyone I have prescribed oestrogel just over two months ago, pmdd. I am 33 years old. I am trying to be patient and hope for the gel to make a difference. I suffer with severe mood swings. previously had severe post natal, took literally every med that was available to recover through that. hardest

Best time to take T4/T3 and HRT
Just wondering if I am doing the right thing. As I have posted on here recently, have been suffering with tingling sensations in legs, feet, arms, hands and sometimes even my face. Currently I take my thyroxine and half the dose of liothyronine first thing in the morning. Then within about 45 minutes

Endometriosis pain after hysterectomy and oophorectomy - Is there anything that can help or am I stuck with the pain forever?
I have had a radical hysterectomy and oophorectomy last September. I was initially put on HRT patches when I came out of surgery - I noticed that I felt better as the patch was wearing off. After a couple of weeks I ditched them altogether. At that point I was coping with the menopausal symptoms. By
