HRT that doesn't cause gallstones?
Hello, I am nearly 51 & appear to be 'post menopause'. I have just had my gallbladder removed & strongly feel that my HRT may have caused the stones. I had a scan in 2017 - no stones. Then I was prescribed 3 pumps of Estrogel + 100mg Ultrogestan +pea sized amount of Testosterone. I felt better, but then

Very ill since HRT and Moderna vaccine ….
Hi. Overactive for a few years then radioactive treatment causes me to go under active for the last 18 years. Menopause meant I was fitted with a more a coil 8 months ago to help symptoms and now trying HRT estradiol gel for three months so far. Huge weight gain but could also be because of poor diet

Mercury T3 not working with short date or HRT affecting thyroid meds?
Hi Everyone Hope you are all well. I am just wondering does HRT impact our thyroid medication in any way? I was doing well on T3 but since December 2020 I have gone downhill. I started HRT probably about two years ago. I am trying to work out if it’s the meds not being effective ( they are dated June

Menopause/POI and endo, where can I find support?
I have Stage 4 endo and started HRT 2 months ago as I'm quite far down the line of perimenopause. I'm 40 and I have 2 children aged 4 and 1 (no-one quite knows how my ovaries did it). I have had awful symptoms for so much of my life I put the extreme fatigue of the past couple of years and about 1,000

Start Cerazette at age 51?
I am 51 and my periods won´t stop. I have been on HRT for the past seven years - first Oestrogel (Besins Healthcare) + Utrogestan (two pumps of Oestrogel for 25 days a month, Utrogestan 200 mg for ten days a month). Then, when I turned 50, my doctor suggested using HRT daily. Since Oestrogel was out

35 month tE2 update
Absolutely thrilled with my mono tE2 ADT therapy after 35 months! I repeat..."The ONLY side effect is little boobies" and of course my sex life has been 'on hold' for quite some time, but what the heck, I'm looking forward to completing/celebrating my 78th orbit in just a few weeks! Thanks to the many

Has anyone else experienced shortness of breath or high anxiety on prostap?
I’ve been on prostap on and off since 2014. My latest set of 3 monthly injections started in June 2020, they were great, stopped all pain and I was happy. Fast forward to December 2020... and the HRT I was taking alongside the prostap is no longer available due to COVID-19 so I was given Estrogel pump

Thyroxine and Oestrogel
Hi. This is a question for anyone taking thyroxine and HRT (specifically Oestrogel). I used to use the gel at night and take my thyroxine in the morning. However due to my sleep issues, a couple of months ago, my endo suggested trying the thyroxine at night. So I swapped them around (thyroxine at night

Timings of thyroid meds, calcium and HRT
Hi. I've had an appointment with my endocrinologist this morning, and he would like me to try taking my thyroxine at night (to see if it helps with sleep), which is actually what I did years ago before being told by a nutritionist I shouldn't. The trouble is, I now take HRT at night (progesterone tablets

Gel instead of tablets
Hello just started on the gel oestrogel instead of the tablets to thicken lining up . Only because I have a lactose intolerance so the tablets contain it . Anyone else used the gel ? Is it as good as the tablets to thicken linning ? Just seems weird to rub a gel on arms and it works the same? Last go

Been to hormone specialist...not sure what to think?!
I am new here, but not new to thyroid problems. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2001 after years of symptoms no doctor could explain: high blood pressure difficult to control even with medication, hair loss, high cholesterol, weight gain and fluid retention. Doctors suggested I was eating too much

HRT effects on thyroxine absorption.
Hi. I started HRT 4weeks ago. I felt a little better first week however may be marginally worse now. I'm on oestrogel and progesterone. Can this be having an effect on my thyroxine absorption? My blood test results before I started HRT : T4 18.9 (9-25) TSH 0.29 (0.2-5.0) Should I be applying oestrogen

Ladies on Utrogestan and Oestrogel for hrt
Hi I have very recently started hrt, in fact 5 days in. I know at some point I will have a withdrawal bleed but I'm noticing the tell tale signs of period like cramps increasing already (i haven't had a period for months but have been experiencing the cramping continuously regardless). But there are

Update on levothyroxine and HRT
So, decided to go with HRT. Have Estrogel gel and progesterone tablets. Applying 2 pumps of gel in the morning for first two weeks and then taking two tablets and two pumps for the next two weeks. Night sweats are definitely decreasing, only waking twice at the moment after 7 days of the gel! Feeling
