Cost comparison between Lupron and Oestrogel
Until the ‘Patch” trial is completed sometime next year there seems to be a lot of unanswered questions regarding the use of tE2. Anyone taking Avodart (Dutasteride) as your only form of ADT?
Just curious as to whether any of you have been able to control your PSA after recurrence? Since dutasteride is an inhibitor of all three 5a-reductase isoforms, it appears to be an effective suppressor of DHT which is a considerably more potent androgen than the testosterone it is derived from. Endo & mirena w/out estrogel?
Hi everyone, I’m new on here. I’ve had the mirena coil for a year due to very aggressive endo (strictures in ureters, ovaries stuck, bowel adhesions) but had to ask for estrogen gel supplementation as I was unable to sleep due to excessive night sweats (45 so prob perimenopause). The pain and night sweats

Cortisol and HRT
I’ve just received the results 9AM Cortisol blood test. 389 (150-500). My Endo is happy with the results, no further investigations. She admitted that I look very ill and shaky and in her opinion it is because my TSH is supressed. I am also on HRT for my horrid sweats end hot flashes. I need 6 pumps

Goodbye and good ridannce Levothyroxine
After much thought and consideration, have to go back to taking Thiroyd from Thailand as Levothyroxine has caused so much hair loss, ended up with a big bald patch, itchy scalp and body. Took me ages to figure out if it was the levothyroxine as currently menopausal, taking estrogel and utrosgen.

Having to go off NDT after several years and back on levo only - how to explain it?
OK, so I went off NDT and back on T4 only a few weeks ago, after suffering bothersome symptoms for several months, such as profuse sweating (waking up every morning in a bed drenched in sweat), racing heart, high blood pressure (treated with perindopril 10 mg daily, GP wants to switch me to beta blockers

Soy isoflavones and thyroid disease (Hashimoto's)
For the past six months, I've been suffering from low mood and mood swings that I put down to menopause (I'm 50). I was put on estrogel and Utrogestan and felt somewhat better but not optimal. A friend of mine who did not get 100% improvement with HRT tried Menopause support by A. Vogel and it has worked

Estrogel and fat thighs!
Hi Guys, just wanted to know if anybody else has the same problem with Estrogel. I went on it about 4 years ago and noticed a gradual weight gain in my thighs, bum and stomach, then about 5 months ago I noticed lumpy fat deposits on my thighs (which look awful), I couldn't understand why this was happening

Seen hormone specialist, more confused than ever...!
So I've been for my long overdue annual visit to my hormone doctor in Belgium and I have to admit I received quite a lot of confusing and even contradictory advice that I would love for members to comment on: First of all, when it comes to my massive weight gain (+25 kg) since being treated with high

Sex hormones labs back - feedback please
I posted the other day about how to take estrogen and progesterone - continually vs cyclically - and now my latest labs are back (blood drawn on day 21 of cycle so luteal phase - I'm 50, my periods have been irregular for the past year). Ref ranges refer to "luteal phase" in the first brackets and "menopause

Using estrogen and progesterone cyclically or continuously...interested in other people's experiences!
So, I wanted to know if anyone here has gone from using E and P cyclically to using them continuously, and what difference that has made (if any). I'm asking because I emailed my hormone doctor a few months ago to tell her my periods seemed to have stopped (right after I turned 50 in December), and ask

Oral progesterone 10 or 25 days a month?
I'd like to hear from those of you on oral progesterone, especially bio-identical as I'm not sure progestins are taken the same way. I have taken Utrogestan 200 mg for ten days a month (day 15-25 of cycle) for the past few years (along with Estrogel day 5-25). A few months ago, my doctor suggested I

High ESR after using Oestrogel HRT?
Can anyone help I have lupus, Scleroderma & Antiphosphilipid syndrome and have recently been placed on Oestogel HRT and my ESR has shot over 100. Could the Oestrogel have done that or is it more likely my systemic issues. I’m also on Methotrexate 25mg S/C injections and Hydroxychloroquine. Cant speak
