Had RRP and remained undetected for three years. Slow rise, had radiation to prostate bed and ten months of ADT in 2017. Again slow rise and I off and on used Avodart and Casadox during the last three years. Had two 68 GL PSMA in the last three years which came out negative.
Now I am planning to start EstroGel therapy. Had been closely monitoring the progress of some of the esteemed members who are on this group.
My Oncologist here in India has approved my this approach to keep away the hardcore ADT as long as possible and keep watching the PSA, scans and blood work.
Estradiol 0.06% is available here in India for approximately 10 USD per tube of 80 g. It is made in Belgium by Besins.
Expert views are requested.
I am immensely indebted to this group for the support and knowledge which has helped me and many others to sail through successfully, the last 11 years, particularly Tall Allen.
I wish all the best of luck to everyone.
Regards and best wishes.

That is a wonderful response to Casodex and Avodart for so many years. Why you want to go for estradiol ? Is the combo of Casodex and Avodart NOT working anymore ?
I am on Casodex+Dutasteride monotherapy for last 6 months. My curiosity is...why do want to add Estrogel ....at this time. Are your PSA, ALP or scans showing any progression ?
Oestrogel (the same as what you are buying in India) is what I have been using for almost three years with great results. My last PSA was 0.009 with 'little boobs' as my ONLY side effect. I buy mine in Thailand...it is made by Besins in France. Happy to hear that your Onco has approved this therapy! My best,
I apply an amount as pictured on the supplied applicator to my lower abdomen and inner thighs in the morning and prior to bedtime. Once/day 'should' suffice; however, I am getting better numbers with two applications/day. My last blood test results from 2/2021 were: PSA - 0.003, T - 13, ALP - 84, E2 - 220. It's been 38 months for me now on this tE2 mono-therapy and I feel 'totally' normal...only little boobs as a side effect! Haven't seen a doctor since my unsuccessful sacral lymph node surgery back in 2017.
Unlike the heavy duty ADT drugs, estradiol gel is made from soy and yams. Unfortunately very few men are using this 'somewhat' unconventional ADT regimen since most doctors will not prescribe it due to the ~30% increase in CV risks that the 'old oral' synthetic estrogen DES was noted for. The gel being transdermal 'avoids' the first pass hepatic metabolism which was accountable for the increased thrombosis. There is also little money in prescribing a $20/month therapy as opposed to $6,000 trimonthly injections.
