HRT that doesn't cause gallstones?

Hello, I am nearly 51 & appear to be 'post menopause'. I have just had my gallbladder removed & strongly feel that my HRT may have caused the stones. I had a scan in 2017 - no stones. Then I was prescribed 3 pumps of Estrogel + 100mg Ultrogestan +pea sized amount of Testosterone. I felt better, but then started getting upper right pain & indegestion issues. I was told I had IBS & given strong painkillers etc. My periods stopped in Jan 2019. I had a scan in June 2019 that showed lots of gallstones, some 12-14mm! No-one mentioned that HRT can cause gallstones. I have only read up about this recently. I had to stop the HRT a while ago, but the crying/depression, irritability, sweating, fatigue is getting too much.

I wondered if anyone knew of some HRT that does not irritate the gallbladder? It can still cause problems after its removed.

Thank you

Hi there I don’t have any experience with what you are asking but if you have not joined the FB group Menopause Chicks might be worth it. There are over 25,000 members, there may be others on that site with a similar experience.
