Update on levothyroxine and HRT

So, decided to go with HRT. Have Estrogel gel and progesterone tablets. Applying 2 pumps of gel in the morning for first two weeks and then taking two tablets and two pumps for the next two weeks. Night sweats are definitely decreasing, only waking twice at the moment after 7 days of the gel! Feeling hopeful!

Have reduced anti depressant as well.

Daily meds now:

Levothyroxine 100mcg

Sertraline 25mcg

Estrogel pump x 2

Progesterone tablets x 2 for 14 days/month

Hope to stop the sertraline eventually as not keen on taking so many things!

What type of progesterone are you taking? If you live in England push for utrogestan as it is natural and much safer. Did you have your hormones tested before you started HRT? You will need to up your thyroid dosage when taking estrogen as it blocks the thyroid pathway. I refused estrogen and use natural progesterone and pregnenolone instead.
