Glaucoma after transplant
Like many transplant patients I was on a regiment of steroids after transplant. Unlike some I have had to continue a small dose after 4 years post transplant due to rejection. Within that time I have had gout and eye infections which included the use of steroids for inflammation. One of these responses

Throwing up triggers AFIB
I was officially diagnosed with having a fib just a few months after my son was born in 2018. I believe I may have experienced this as a child growing up and didn’t know what was happening. I have ONLY had afib episodes after I’ve throw up. I have converted back several times with taking metoprolol

Suspected Pernicious Anemia - what next?
Hello, I am very glad to have found this forum as I have been researching B12D and PA a lot recently. I became familiar with the society’s website and found it so helpful. I am 29F in the US and I suspect I have Pernicious Anemia. This is what I know so far (sorry in advance if this post rambles on)

metoprolol 25 mg and low heat rate
hi, in a situation where there is a low heart rate between 55 to 60 bpm when in afib, does it make sense to take metaprolol drug, designed to reduce the ventricular heart rate, amongst other things? my allopathic md prescribed this and i cannot help but feel a bit uncomfortable. i don't wish the heart

I truly want to believe.
I genuinely want to believe that once I begin exercising more seriously, I will shed many of the health problems I face. I am pre-diabetic, I am about 30 pounds overweight, and I have high blood pressure that seems to get worse with time. My cholesterol has declined considerably, along with being diagnosed

Knock wood... AFib continues to be in check
I've been working at 6,800 ft/2,100 m as a Camp cook in the San Bernardino mountains for the past two summers and roaming the Santa Ana River Valley peaks at 10,000-11,500 ft/3,000-3,500 m. A month ago, I went in for a routine visit with my lead cardiologist (I had a massive heart attack 11½ years ago

Anyone else suffering from insomnia and loss of appetite from Metoprolol…did they diagnose it by calling it Anxiety or Depression?????
I’m a mom and a grandmother. I love my life and my family. I’ve been going through hell for the last 12 days here’s why….I started getting a weird feeling in my chest around Christmas time. I felt my pulse and I felt my pulse pause in between a few beats here and there. I went to see my cardiologist

Stage II CKD
Diagnosed Jan. 2022; egfr 55 at that time, Symptoms: high bp, recurrent UTI's (once yearly since 2021). BP up now, trying to get under control again. On beta blocker and ARB now, but info I've read (Mayo Clinic) suggest BB and ARB combined use less effective for hypertension. No reported adverse reactions

Post Ablation
Good morning, This is a long one so Thankyou if you get to the end! I had my 3rd Ablation last Thursday 18th Jan at St Bart’s . It was a fairly complex one and resulted in going from sedation to a general anesetic during procedure. I had an overnight stay and was discharged Friday afternoon. I was

Updates on AF meds
Hello. Had appointment with AF specialist yesterday at Berks Cardiology. Everything went well. He explained everything in detail of my options, and basically said it's my choice to do whatever I wanted. I told him I wanted to exercise again at the gym, he said I could do whatever I wanted to do, but

Stopped flecainide
Last week I stopped taking flecainide. I was on a lower dose of 50 mg twice a day. My cardiologist said I didn’t have to wean off if it because it is a small dosage. This week following the stoppage my heart rate has been very high. Just standing up it will jump into the 90’s. I called my cardiologist

Tardive dyskinesia. Been on the causative med quetiapine 400 mg for 20 years.Unable to get off it. Been creative. I am a registered nurse.
I am an inpatient acute mental health nurse actually - for the last 15 years. I also have Bipolar disorder on lithium. Very well controlled. But side effects of quetiapine were becoming impossible to live with. I tried aripiprazole and a reduction in quetiapine to a disastrous effect. I appeared severely

I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal after a year of episodes getting longer and longer . I had a cardio version Sept then a very mild Afib that was controlled with Metoprolol in November. I am overdue now according to my tracking since last Nov (every 4-10 weeks) and I finally got my date for ablation

Does metoprolol succinate cause nocturia
I am on Flecainide 25 mg in am and pm, and metoprolol succinate 25 mg in the am, and 2.5 mg eliquis in am & pm. Although bph can cause nocturia, has metoprolol succinate and eliquis also been known to cause it?

seeking more info with yet more questions
Hello. As I begin to write this it's 5:45 in the morning here. Trying to get at least some type of sleep. Still having loads of anxiety but trying to calm myself down to at least write this. Glancing over once in a while to check oxymeter, heart rate ranging from 92 to 104, oxygen steady at 96-97.
