Back from the cardiologist
So i went to see the cardio I’ve been seeing for my heart palpitations and again they are putting it off as anxiety. I had a full work up in March in the hospital (ekg-echocardiogram-bloodwork-chest x-ray and holter monitor) all came back normal “ besides pvcs pacs and (occasional) svt witch she’s says

Permanent AF--is it worse than intermittent?
I'm intrigued by many of the posts I read on this site where people are or are not in permanent AF. I am, but my Cardiologist only sees me once a year even though I'm on the wrong side of 80. My GP, who I trust implicitly says he is the conduit to the Specialist and thus checks blood pressure, pulse

Antiarrhthmic drugs working great, but scheduled for ablation
Thank you to everyone for this wonderful forum. My husband, 56, started getting more and more out of breath and fatigued in November and December of last year. Finally he went to the ER (we are in the US) on January 2. He was in AF and his heart rate was 180 but they got it down to between 130 and

Twenty seven meds a day, sometimes more.
Hoping that somebody out there takes more so I don't feel alone, Even 10 or more will make me feel part of a group. The specialist I saw a month ago just about had a stroke when she saw my list but agreed that nothing can be changed or altered. What has been altered is instead of my better half sitting

Flecainide - from PIP to 2x100/day now want to get off of it
Hi everyone, My first post on here. I'm reaching out because I've had some issues with Flecainide that my doctors don't acknowledge and I know I'm not crazy. I've had PAF for 30 years. Would have an event maybe once a year or slightly more. Then I gained weight and got severe obstructive sleep apnea

Life update
Hello all! A lot of you have been following my journey through dialysis and recently transplant, and I really appreciate all of the support that you've given! I celebrated 6 months post transplant on 7/8/19, and after lowering my tac to 6mg daily (3 pills 2×/day), switching from Metoprolol to Losartan

Will Kidney function improve after gemzar/cisplatin
I hovered at creatinine of 1.1 to 1.3 during treatment but 4 weeks after treatment it is now 1.7 with egfr of 30. I am actually not very happy with my oncologist as he has not bothered to call me about the results. I saw them on the computer. Also,, went for a cystoscope at which time they did a urinalysis

Can vaccinations cause A-Fib?
Hi all. I had an experience on Friday/Saturday and I'd like to get your collective feedback. I'm a 64 yo male. I've been diagnosed with CLL since Jan 2019. Saw a CLL specialist in April. He recommended a number of vaccinations including Prevnar 13. On Friday, I got the shot. Saturday morning

Flecainide and PAF
Hi Last December I was switched from Metoprolol to Bisoprolol. I also take coversyl for BP. My cardiologist also prescribed Flecainide as a PIP when I get an A.Fib episode. I am to take one 100 mg tablet at onset and if the A.Fib still there after four hours I am to take another one. Last night

Meds and vitamins
I’m on metoprolol and I’m wondering can I take a multi-vitamin and fish oil along with my metoprolol? I read somewhere that fish oil lowers blood pressure so I don’t want it to drop it more than metoprolol already does TIA

Issues After Imbruvica
I started 3 140mg tabs of Imbruvica in January of 2017. I tolerated it very well with the normal side effects of cramps and brittle nails. Venetoclax 400 mg was added in July of 2017 as a ramp up. I continued on the Imbruvica/Venetoclax trial with no issues until May of 2018 when I had an Afib episode
