I can only help with amiodarone. Two things please research amiodarone not only using Google but the search box on the top right of this site. This site already carries much on this very toxic drug.

Second to quote BobD, this drug does not have side effects, it has effects.

Please be careful with what you do or decide and please ask your consultant and/or GP

As with all heavy duty meds Amiodarone can be accompanied by unwelcome guests.

Side effects are dose dependent and a major study confirmed this with a study that comprised of 1000 participants taking 200mg of Amio daily. This was considered as a low dose. Thyroid problems came top of the side effects at around 3% so with your 100mg daily i would suggest that your risk would be <2%. Another study that analysed 79 paticipants(from memory) taking 100mg daily reported nil side effects, although i would suggest that with such a small data set this is not representative.

I took Amio for 14 months with no significant side effects.

As always be guided by your medical professionals and Good Luck!

I was on amiodorone for a relatively short time, it damaged my thyroid and I was getting sunburn inside in February if I stood too close to a window.

I will never take it again, some people have no issues. But, read up on the possible side effects and be aware if you have any of them.
