High blood pressure medication

PACs Very Annoying
A little history I've had proxismal AFIB since 2016. Got a PVI ablation last November and knocked out the AFib. My problem is now I have persistent PACs. (Bigeminy). They are random but sometimes very bad. I was put on a precision monitor and showed thousands of them in a week. Flecainide Metoprolol

What more can I do???
I'm having monthly episodes of SVT now, the latest last Mon (12 7 2020) did not resolve at home when I took another Metoprolol Extended Release tablet as my EP suggested, so off I went to the Emergency Room for an intravenous of different meds. Beta blocker intravenously did nothing, but calcium channel

I've been on Metoprolol for about three years now (low dose, half a pill morning and night). Can I wean off of it? If so, how?
I have had Afib, once recently that I was able to reset holding my breath. I'm not on a blood thinner. I'd like to see if it can be managed without the meds. I'm 66 and otherwise healthy. I had a some high blood pressure but cut almost all salt out and got that under control. I'd like to use supplements

Corticosteroids & Hypertension
I was diagnosed with hypertension for many years before getting a further diagnosis of GCA just recently. Am currently taking 20mg of prednisone, which is doing a number on my blood pressure. I'm taking 50mg / day of metoprolol for that. Any tips or tricks to getting my readings down (140s / 90s right

Lexapro and Metoprolol?
Hi everyone, as you all know from my posts my anxiety has been debilitating - making this recovery process harder than it should be. I’ll be 4 months post ablation on November 21st. I’ve been talking to a therapist who referred me to a psychiatrist and he prescribed me 5 mg Lexapro. I’m nervous to take

Take meds on an empty stomach, or take with food, or ?
I've spoken with many pharmacists and my electrophysiologist as well, and I'm puzzled because they say the same or different things! If anyone can ring in on what *might* work best, I'd appreciate it. I take the metoprolol extended release once a day in the morning. I take the flecainide twice a day

metoprolol and anxiety
Hi all, I recently started metoprolol for tachycardia and pvcs, it helps tremendously with this but my anxiety has seem to have gotten worse. Don't think it is due to the beta blocker, think its more the anxiety over the dizziness the medication causes. Does anyone take anything with metoprolol for

Confused again, nervous & scared
My heart tripped out tonight (Nov 8) at 9 o'clock while I was relaxing watching the TV. It's still tripping. My Kardia reading says it's steady but fast at 125 bpm, & has been that for the past 3 1/2 hours. My evening meds (Flecainide 150 mg which I take twice a day -- & I take Pradaxa too) did nothing

How do you deal with it?
I can go several days but no episodes like nothing's wrong then all of a sudden everything goes Haywire. It's very scary. My question is how do you live your life with the constant reminder always that...something bad could happen? I mean I understand that all of us are going to pass away at some point

Ascites with No Fibrosis?
When I’ve previously posted I’ve speculated about my diagnosis and was awaiting testing. My MRE came back as fatty 19% when it should be less than 5% but no fibrosis (F0). They do not know why I had ascites and if they’ll return. I am on 12.5 mg HCTZ. I ran out, and I feel my abdomen increasing with

Long term effects
Hi..i’ve Been on metoprolol for 30 some years..60 yrs old now. Tolerated well for blood pressure. Has anyone had or heard of long term effects of this drug. I’ve been having numbness in feet and sometimes my face...other areas of body intermittently. Just curious...poor circulation? Going for nerve

So sick
Belindalore here. Just laying around today. No energy to do anything. Almost went back over to the hospital but didn't. Just a waste of time. Drs don't believe anything about the horrible side effects I'm having taking this poison Eliquis. I honestly don't know how much longer I can do this. I'm so

Can the way we breathe affect our heart rate?
I just finished reading a new book by James Nestor, "Breath The New Science of a Lost Art". It is a very good read. I thought I was a nose breather (which is much better for you in that it filters the air and warms and moisturizes it before entering your lungs). However as pointed out in the book, that

Alternative to Bisoprolol
Hi all, I’ve recently been switched to bisoprolol from celiprolol due to no longer available, but am having troubles tolerating the change, has anyone done similar and found another BB better? I’ve also tried metoprolol with similar issues.
