has anyone had increased urination with flecainide?
I had an ablation done a little under 6 weeks ago, was told i had multiple extra pathways and they ablated them. I am no taking metoprolol once daily and flecainide twice a day. I noticed i am going to the bathroom more often to urinate and was wondering if anyone else had the same issue.

Has anyone else had symptoms such as Heart rate flunctuating through tout the day such as it being high (for me 140-169) and then going back to normal like in the 80’s to 90’s? I feel like I run out of breath easily doing simple tasks around the house and then get nervous or anxious sitting down …

Are Anticoagulants necessary?
I was diagnosed with PAF over two years ago following two episodes of fast AF which lasted for less than six hours. I was given IV Metoprolol in A&E and discharged on Bisoprolol 1.25mg daily. I have been well and active since but my cardiologist is keen for me to take anticoagulants as my CHADsVASc

Got the Second Opinion
And I am SO glad I did! In a prior post, I had told about events leading up to a cardiologist getting snippy with me because I questioned the need for an ablation. The more research I did the more convinced I became that my gut feeling was right and I set up an appt. with a different doctor. Monday

My Story and I'm thinking someone can relate?
My AFIB story goes back several years. It first began back in 2008. I had been having "spells" that were mild and usually went away with rest. But then that stopped working and I ended up at a cardiologist's office. They did a chemically induced stress test and placed me on Betapace and diltiazem.

Bradycardia AFib
Does anyone suffer from Bradycardia AFib? What are the symptoms? I had a bout of Afib 12 years ago, where my heart rate was 130+. I have a 38 year history of PVCs/PACs and currently take 25 mg of metoprolol. My resting heart rate is normally 45-47. Recently, I have had short periods where my heart

afib But low heart rate
I had my cryo ablation at the end of June and have had a hard time still with afib almost everyday… well it finally slowed down to once a week ish but now when I get afib (according to Apple Watch) my heart rate doesn’t go very high. It’s between 60-100 fluctuating. Is that even still afib? Am I still

PACs instead of AFib
Started AF about 12yrs ago when an idiot dr overdosed my thyroid meds. Since then I have usually several episodes a year (lasts an average of 6 or so hrs and I take metoprolol as soon as it starts). I take hawthorn/magnesium glycinate/taurine/CoQ10 daily. Had my first episode this year in June and thought

rapid weight gain
anyone else have rapid weight gain on metoprolol or Eliquis? I have been on medication for 6 months and have gained 15 lbs. so far. I exercise regularly (run, spin, elliptical rower etc) talking 4/5 days a week… I am still rapidly gaining. I don’t eat poorly or any excess sweets. I’m very frustrated

From EHA June 2022. Treating hypertension in patients receiving BTK inhibitors
My own Ibrutinib induced hypertension has been tricky to treat and Losartan, which did suit me, had to be stopped as it was contraindicated. Now on Amlopidine and it's not effective at all so going back to Losartan now that I'm off Ibrutinib. Interesting in that he says that more than one class of

Afib heat laser Ablation
Here's a quick back round. 61 years old. Have had Afib off and on for 25+ years. So after countless Cardioversions, numerous Homeopathic regimens and a try of SotaloI (which was the worst by the way). I always ended up back in Afib along with the terrible quality of life that goes with it within days

Anxiety with Afib
Hi have had Afib episodes for 20 years, usually only for couple of hours, helped by metoprolol. I was in Resus overnight for thelast episode, had 3 different IV beta blockers, to no avail, and was finally given oral Flecainide, which worked after 40 minutes, and prevented cardioversion.. That was
