Thorne Basic vs Stress B Complex
I'll be complementing it with a B12 1000 sublingual of
methylcobalamin
. The main differences that stood out for the Stress B Complex, besides 250 mg of B5 as opposed to 110mg, is 200mcg of folate rather than 400mcg, and 80mcg of Biotin rather than 400mcg.

Methyl v Hydroxy
I'm wondering if anyone who was having
Methylcobalamin
injections, but didn't have much or any improvement in their symptoms, then changed to Hydroxycobalamin injections & found they worked better? I would be very grateful for any thoughts or experiences of this issue. Many thanks AK 🙂

Guidance after blood test results
I am so confused and don't know what to do.I should mention that i am b12 deficient and taking
methylcobalamin
each day. Could the reason I still feel so bad be something to do with my T3?

Reference for Methylcobalamin?
I am seeing the neurologist next week and hoping to persuade him to let me try
methylcobalamin
rather than cyanocobalamin for a while.

Why are all B12 supplements Methylcobalin and not Hydroxocobalamin ?
They all say
Methylcobalamin
as supposed to Hydroxocobalamin which is the only form licensed in UK. Is the licensing for injections only ? My wife is very low on B12, does anyone recommend what strength would be best and if later this strength should be reduced as the levels get higher.

Metformin and Homocysteine Levels
I was taking sublingual
Methylcobalamin
and Methyl Folate to supplement the loss in these nutrients due to the Metformin. Didn't seem to work too well. I brought my homocysteine levels down to the upper range of what is considered "normal."

Do I have Pernicious Anaemia?
I started taking taking 1000μg
methylcobalamin
last summer (2016) which I self prescribe and my levels are now 813 pg/mL and I follow the Autoimmune Protocol Diet and have managed to put every symptom into remission. My doctor now thinks there was a misdiagnosis with regard to the bipolar.

Does anyone know what Methycobal (Mecobalamin) injections are ?
I mean same as Hydroxocobalamin/
methylcobalamin
and Cianacobalamin ? I got it internationally and used it as B12, but it didn't help much at all. I used it for about 2-3 months weekly without much effect. I normally inject Hydroxocobalamin which I can feel and has made a huge difference.

Help with results and advice please
First of all I apologise in advance for the long post but I really would value your opinions before I am due to see an endo next week. I started with digestive difficulties and fatigue some 20yrs ago after a long period of looking after an older sick child having had a new baby. When things settled

What kind of B12 to take while I wait to see a functional doctor
The ingredients of the Biocare's methyl folguard is drops taken in water, active ingredients are methyl hydrofolic acid and
methylcobalamin
. Is there something relatively fail safe I can try, that perhaps by passes my stomach, in spray or sublingual form?

MTHFR and maths. Adding a dose of realism.
First off - there is evidence from proper studies that people with two copies of one particular mutation (called C677>T) may have problems with production of
methylcobalamin
and might require supplements with methyl folate to get round the problem. Apart from that there is no real evidence.

where to buy hydroxocobalamin online in US
I've been purchasing
methylcobalamin
from ushcgshots.com, but I'd like to try hydroxo since it's cheaper.

B complexes and b12 breaking me out?
I have been getting spots on my face, neck and shoulders for a few months now. I'm gluten free, I use natural skin care, I have never ever suffered with acne and only get the odd hormonal breakout usually, I don't eat rubbish either, only organic and fresh foods. After researching all the vits and mins

Blood test results - advice pls
As he doesn't really have b12 deficiency symptoms was going to just start him on 1000mcg oral b12 (
methylcobalamin
) with thornes b complex. Would welcome views on this approach or whether we should be checking anything else. Many thanks.

Blood tests - High serum vitamin B12, high Se thyroid peroxidase, low serum ferritin etc - reasons
read on one of the posts on this forum that a high reading for B12 actually doesn't rule out pernicious anaemia, indeed it could indicate quite the opposite, because it may be that it is an un-usable form of B12, which is building up because it is not being concerted into the use-able form, which is
