Cost of lifesaving heroin withdrawal drug soars by 700%
Possibly a bit off-topic, but it follows on from the Liothyronine (T3) extreme over-charging issue which still rumbles on. Looks to me as if this medicine cost issue is being exploited ruthlessly and systematically.

Iron infusion: clarifying % of responders
First, some good news: I am now 6 weeks past my iron infusion (1000 mg ferrous carboxymaltose, or InjectaFer, which raised my ferritin from 18 to 289). I am now getting significant reduction in my RLS symptoms. I now get complete control of my symptoms and sleep soundly through the night with

I feel like its my mind that talks me out of doing anything.
Had a back injury in 2000, had a few fusions and then a medtronics stimulator, thats when you know they are giving up, and of course the constant refills of meds, methadone, Roxycodone, soma, ambien, lyrica, and blood pressure med, and I have worked as an electrician for same company for last 13

Back from Ireland...experiment
While in Ireland my RLS was almost non existent. It was so nice. But I have to admit to doing some drug experiments. I am currently on 5mg methadone and trying to get off the patch. I’m on 2 mg down from 8mg !!! That’s been rough. But a long time ago I was on 1600 mg gabepentin. I had a bunch of it

Tried EVERYTHING, and now...
EVERYTHING means just that, medication, body work, head trips...Just returned from a trip to Johns Hopkins Hospital where a Dr. Paul Allen's research showed excess glutamate in the thalamus of the brain is the etiology of the pathology of WED. Very SADLY the treatment from JHH is more pharmaceuticals

Traveling to Ireland this coming week.
I’m supposed to be traveling to Ireland this coming week. I’m down to 2 mg DAs and 5 methadone. I’ve slept 5-7 hours the last 4 days. Am I crazy to take a 6 hour plane ride with this still up in the air or do I throw caution to the wind and go?

Oddly enough I am down to 2 mg of neupro and am taking 5mg of methadone. Got 7 hours sleep last night. Anyone else experience this? Can they be taken together long term?

Augmentation
My withdrawal from DOPAMINE Agonists continues. I was on 6mg but would leave prior days patch on so that increased my dosage. Before that I was on Requip 2 mg twice a day for 2004. I am now down to 2 mg. Had two awful nights in a row. Not going back to three mgs. Being strong. What I’m noticing is that

Methadone and edema
I’ve been on methadone 5mg once a day for a month. I noticed yesterday that I had edema in my left ankle. I had to go to the ER After taking all kinds of tests no causes that they could tell they told me to keep my leg up. But as soon as I do the RLS kicks in. Does anyone know if methadone causes edema

Augmentation withdrawal and neupro patch
Has anyone experienced severe augmentation using the neupro patch? I was on Requip for over 10 years and noticed augmentation and my doc switched me to the patch. At first I didn’t notice any difference but very soon I began to notice that just one patch wasn’t enough so I would leave the previous days

Sleep, Anyone? Anyone?
Have any of you suffered from hyper insomnia, then changed meds and had some good sleep at last? At very long last? I am still on a small-ish dose of pramipexole, ready to wean with the help of methadone. Benzos make no difference to sleep, sadly. Nor do all the whacked out remedies, magnesium and

Pain is a pain!
My main condition is Adhesive Arachnoiditis. It causes severe intractable, 24/7 pain. Most MD's have never heard of it or are not familiar with it. Some think it is a fallacy, I wish! As many of you know, it has gotten much more difficult to get adequate pain meds since 2016 with the Opioid crisis

Advice please.
I believe I have Fibromyalgia as I suffer from severe hand and foot pain plus balls of my feet are very painful walking, hands I can barely use in morning. I do kick my legs about but have exma so am not sure. I am taking methadone on a maintenance script for over 20 years. My symtoms have built up over

OPIATE PAIN MEDICATIONS IN ADDITION TO THE USUAL GPA MEDS ???
As many of you know , federal and state governments in the US have severely clamped down on the prescribing of any drug in the opiate family at the same time the alcohol industry flourishes, and the medical and recreational marijuana industry is on the rise and set to financially explode in the next

Amphetamine for methadone withdrawal???
What's working for me is dextroamphetamine. I've tried Gabapentin for RLS at 1000mg nightly and I have been going through hell. Was on methadone 160mg daily for 16 years for opiate addiction I got when I had cancer surgery. Over one year tapered to 25mg methadone daily then quit cold turkey. I was desperate

Antidepressant to wean off Pramipexole???
I saw my GP yesterday to discuss help with weaning off Pramipexole. I gave her a list of the various meds I had tried over the last few years with no success! She had given me Tramadol before but it does nothing for me...it does not help with pain nor RLS for me. I asked if I could try Methadone as

Appointment at Pain Clinic grrrr
Went to the first appt which is an info session where we were treated like complete imbeciles who knew nothing about pain, patronised and told we have to do random urine drug tests, the results of which are not on a secure database and any staff member in the hospital can access them and make assumptions
