Lyrica Augmentation?
I'm back again at another point in my journey! I've gone from DA augmentation and withdrawal to now being on Lyrica at a dose of 300mg. For a month or so I'd slept well and no RL symptoms at all to speak of. In the last four days I've been experiencing some RL symptoms in the early - late afternoon

Unexplained weight loss: from iron infusions or DA elimination?
Has anyone experienced unexplained significant weight loss either from eliminating DAs or from getting iron infusions? I started having unexplained weight loss last Fall. I've gone from 205 lbs to 170 since September 2018 (I may have leveled off now at ~170). I had an iron infusion in August 2018 and

Need suggestion QUICK
Dr B put me on methadone 5mg for my RLS. I have back, neck and shoulder damage/issues we didnt get a chance to discuss. My back, hip and leg are acting up for 3 wks now. The methadone doesnt help enough. AND I'm headed to a EMG-nerve test (painful, stick electrodes in an inch or two to measure nerve)

Disappointing
So, i saw the neuro today. Went through my whole speech about the legs, etc. Told him the requip basically sucked, made my legs worse, caused insomnia and repetitive thoughts. So....he puts me on.. mirapex. W.T.F?? I flat out asked about methadone and he said, and i quote, "I don't prescribe methadone

The Total Destruction from My Prescribed Opiates.
I apologize in advance as the following post is very long, but it is the story of my own personal experience of how Opiates almost took my life after taking everything else. I am also fully aware that many people take Opiates for pain relief & say they help them. This is just my own personal experience

Dr Buchfuhrer is Awesome!
After suffering for years with RLS that went into augmentation I found out about Dr Buchfuhrer and set up a visit. I’ve seen multiple neurologists, and GPS who did their best to help me. No one could help. In fact it only got worse because they increased requip and then The Neupro patch to levels that

I feel like a new woman since visiting this Doctor
I had an appointment with Dr. Buchfuher May 23 of this year. He stopped my Primpexel and put me on Methadone. Today is July 4th and I feel like a new person. No more RSL and I sleep thru the night. So far I have lost 13 pounds. This Dr. is the greatest. He always answers my messages. I can send

RLS Foundation (U.S.)
I've dealt with RLS for about 25 years but am new to this website. I've found the RLS Foundation websites (www.rls.org; rlsfoundation.blogspot.com) and publications very helpful over the years. I have no connection with the RLS Foundation (RLSF) other than my $35 annual membership fee. I tried to search

Surely not Augmentation already!
Hi again everyone, I've been on ropinirole now for two weeks and I've gone from being able to sit at work most of the morning/day without standing to work, to some symptoms in the mornings; to yesterday, standing most of the time I was at work! I had RL all afternoon as well and nothing seemed to control

Taxol and fatigue
Hi All. I apologize if I already posted on this but the amount of fatigue I am experiencing on Taxol (3 weeks on 1 week off) is getting to be a lot. Most days I don’t feel as though I can get out of bed. My palliative care NP is thinking to change my pain meds over to methadone from opioids. She said

Need to know if it’s ok from someone who has taken it personally
I’m taking 60 mg of Methadone daily unfortunately, but I continue to have restless legs at night (mostly) I bought a little package of Kratom unicorn capsules , kinda scared to take but I really want to try ! Is it safe? And is there any weird side effects? I don’t mind sleeping , cause I don’t get much

Appointment with Dr. Buchfuhrer
Had first appointment with Dr. Buchfuhrer about ten days ago. He is very attentive, determined to find a solution, and his follow through is exactly as he told us it would be. He follows up immediately as he told us he would via phone and patient portal. He started my husband on Methadone, a small

Just surviving
Hi everyone, I am writing this to try to get some order to the disorder that my brain has become. I'm feeling so sad, angry frustrated unloved, alone, 'oh what's the point', which bit can I hurt next. etc etc. I'm so cross that after 15 years of RL I'm now at the stage where no one knows what to do next

Opiate study
This is a link to the first year of a study of rls patients taking opiates for relief. I have obtained permission from the administrators to share this here. Interesting to see the place of Fentanyl and methadone in usage figures. Cheers. https://partners.us20.list-manage.com/track/click?u

Methadone: best dose timing?
I'm currently on methadone and gabapentin. The combination is controlling my RLS symptoms pretty well. I've found that splitting the methadone dose and trying different times of day makes a big difference. However, I don't seem to have worked out the best timing. I'd love to hear from others taking methadone
