Dear Friends, I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. I am brca1 positive. Initially I had double mastectomy and did well until 2016 when I had metastasis to axillilary lymph nodes and left lung. Had full course of ACT, radiation and more lymph node dissection. Have been on xeloda, capacetabine, Laetrazole and Ibrance.

My metastasis has further advanced and am now on lempraza , a PARP inhibitors that’s supposed to treat specifically those of us who are brca1 positive and have ovarian or breast cancer.

I have exhibited exhausting side effects, anemia requiring transfusion, extremely tired, GI symptoms, loss of weight and appetite, and accumulation of fluid around my lung which needs to be drained three times a week.

I am grateful for all of the support and identify in different ways with each of you. You are valiant and courageous sisters on this very scary journey. I look forward to hearing from you and I offer you my warmest hugs and sincerest good wishes
