Does anyone have any info on endometriosis and peri menopause/menopause?
I am currently peri menopausal and I’m experiencing symptoms in relation to the lowering of oestrogen. I have not had a period for a year, I’ve had dry eyes, hair loss, forgetfulness, mind fog, emotional and low mood. My GP recommend St Johns Wort and isoflavon herbal supplements, which I’ve been on

Prostatitis - I've made a mess of it
Suffering since May 2018(though with previous history) - symptoms - burning urination, burning scrotum, constipation and burning defecation - now feeling generally ill I always thought this was about Candida and spent months on the diet and anti-fungal supplement regimen - made a little halting progress

Update
To all those that wished us well for littleun’s first appointment at the RBH on Monday, I just wanted to let you know the outcome. Her fev1 was down to 47% and she very helpfully brought up some disgusting, blood streaked sputum, at which point our new named consultant phoned the bed manager in front

"Dry skin" and Pegasys
Many people here report that Pegasys gives them dry skin. No doubt this is often true because Pegasys has a GIGANTIC range of side-effects. But I wanted to call attention to something else Pegasys does which could be confused with dry skin. Pegasys is a recombinant alpha interferon (IFN-α) and as

Foreskin Redness / Irritation - Wash Daily - Some Days Better than Others
Hi Guys, I'm a 28 year old uncircumcised male that has been having some redness and irritation issues with my foreskin. I've seen a dermatologist who prescribed me with hydrocortisone, and while that does seem to help, I don't think becoming dependent on it is a good idea. I've used other hydration

I'm new here - blood test advice?
Hi - I'll try and not be garbled. I know you'll ask if you need more info :-) I guess this is a B12 deficiency query, not a full blown PA, as I don't have many symptoms symptoms. Basic point - I'm coeliac. Not sure if it has any bearing on this but it might. Had blood test taken Sept 2018, think

One for those who take warfarin
Evening All, Just a quickie, I recently treated an outbreak of athlete's foot with some Daktarin ointment which I bought over the counter. I did read the instructions found inside the box and learnt that cream as its an anti fungal can upset your INR. I self test and checked my INR a week after treatment

Energizing alternatives to coffee/caffeine?
I have an extreme amount of exhaustion on the daily. I drink, eat, and sleep just fine, but every day at work I’ll be practically collapsing from how tired I am, let alone even being able to keep my eyes open. The only thing that helps is drinking coffee, which absolutely does help with the exhaustion

Relief from intense RLS
Hi, just thought I'd mention an experience I had with rls that might be helpful. About 10 years ago, I went through the horrible rls associated with opiate withdrawal (more like restless body syndrome). It lasted about a month. I didn't have access to any meds like gabapentin, but I did have a ton of

Prostate cancer breakthrough using existing drugs offers hope for patients with world-first trial
"We made this discovery that adding this second drug, the anti-fungal antibiotic really interfered with the cells ability to process a lot of its waste and as a result we can see under the microscope sometimes these cells explode with debris," he said. "They're affordable, less than $10 a day," he

Another autoimmune disease or just the thyroid?
Hi everyone, I'll cut to the chase because this is quite a complicated issue. But your help would be really appreciated. Want to learn about Herbal Medicine, the history, what are the difference between Western, Chinese & Ayuverdic?
Interconnected series on Herbal Medicine is outstanding for those who would like to learn. If you can catch the first episode - each airing is free for 24 hours only - do. The series covers different subjects over the next 7-8 days. Unlike many pharmaceutical enthusiasts - it doesn’t diss pharmaceuticals

Please help . . Need suggestions for skin issue
Hi all ;) I have had a very red and inflamed heel on one foot for over a year now. Every couple of weeks the skin peels off in very large thick pieces. The area affected seems to get a bit larger with every peel. I treated with 4 different anti-fungal meds, but none helped. Now I am treating with a steroid
