I've suffered from depression and anxiety for years. The pills I'm on from my gp don't seem to make a difference to how I'm feeling. Wondering if you guys have tried herbal medicine instead

Make sure that if you try St John's Wort that you are no longer taking a prescribed antidepressant. They shouldn't be taken together. Some people find St John's Wort helps, but I tried it and it didn't work for me and my OCD.
Antidepressants can do wonders, but they don't suit everyone. Perhaps ask your doctor or psychiatrist about a different one, as they all have different effects on different people.
I did take a herbal thing called Rhodiola Rosea for a while. I'm not sure if it helped, but it certainly didn't make me feel any worse. i stopped taking it mainly because of the expense. It doesn't have side effects and doesn't interact with other medications, so it is safe to take. Some people swear by it but I don't know if studies have proved its effectiveness.
