Medical Marijuana
Hi guys, I made a previous post about a month ago about how my anxiety has come back for the first time in two years and I do not want to go on pharmaceutical anti-depressants again. I have been reading online and talked to my therapist about medicinal CBD oil to cope with anxiety/PTSD. I was wondering

9 months on MTX, 5 months on Enbrel. Nothing is working.
Since doctors can't seem to heal me, I'm back asking for advice here in the forum. I'm basically trying to figure out what's next for me. It's now been 9 months on MTX and 5 months on Enbrel. I feel worse than ever. Extreme all-over pain, upset stomach, depression, anxiety, etc. A brief history of my

Fat.
I began writing this yesterday after seeing the Daily Mail headline: - "Fatty Western diets make prostate cancer more aggressive" This from a newspaper that advised men to drink flaxseed oil to avoid PCa. Ugh! After a while, I became weary of the subject & the stupidity of the media, so listened to

Medical marijuna
My doctor recommended I start take medical marijuana to help try to recover from my stroke. Does anyone think this is a good idea or has there even been evidence of it working. Little nervous 😟 about this.

The weather has changed and I am in so much pain!
This morning the clouds came over and because it is summer the barometer has dropped and as usual I am in horrible pain in my feet!! My lovely son massaged my feet and I jokingly said to him I wish I knew someone who sold marijuana! Here is Australia the bill has been passed for medical marijuana but

post-prostatectomy incontinence and ED
I had a radical prostatectomy in April 2016 performed by Dr. Jean Joseph at Univ. Of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital. I was very fortunate that this very skilled and expert surgeon was able to spare my nerves so I am not impotent but still have some degree of ED. I have a pump which I rarely use

Post radical prostatectomy
Well it's Saturday and on Wednesday I had robotic surgery to remove my prostate at a terrific place in NYC. So far the pain and discomfort is worse than I expected and I admit to being grateful for opiate pain killers. Now it's a rough 6 days, ahead before the catheter comes out and then the next phase

Xtandi and Increasing PSA
My father has Been on Xtandi, since September 20 2017. (3.5mo) his PSA is going up and his last reading was today 14. Sept 4.1, 6.44 and now 14!! I guess it’s not working and his cancer is not responding to it. Anyone else have this happen? What did your oncologist do? Take you off, or continue to try

Metastatic PCa [mPCa] & Radical Prostatectomy [RP].
New meta-analysis below. The old view is that mPCa requires systemic treatment, & that a RP adds no value & simply increases morbidity. The new view is that cancer debulking can make the disease more manageable. If so, there should be a survival advantage. From the new paper: "The recommended therapy

Can anyone settle this for me?
I'm a member of a nothing-to-do-with-lupus forum and the question of medical marijuana came up. Most the the members live in states in the US where marijuana is legal. I said that, if it were legal here, I'd like to see what prescribed CBD oil would do for pain. I was told that something along those

Sometimes the medicine works
I met someone this weekend who told me about a friend of his who had a radical prostatectomy in 1990. It didn't do the job and he soon had radiation. That didn't do the job either and he was given Lupron. Now, 27 years later, he's still alive, has no symptoms, and has not yet needed to progress to

Marijuana for spasticity, muscle spasms, pain.
I used to love smoking dope, once was a time when I couldn't imagine life without it. I was unaware of my AMN, And though I was all for legalisation, I honestly believed all of the medical Marijuana angles were nonsense. Time moves on, and here I am, older, and AMN continuing it's slow burn through

I use with great results for fatigue and evening dyesthesia (burning feet), because of dizziness. Yeah, you're doing that weed stupid! No, it's not that. Been off that for some time now, coping with the pain and fatigue again until I get this figured out.
