Should I consider Proton Therapy
I am 75 and otherwise in good shape, I had Radical Prostatectomy in 2015 now 2 years and 3 months later my PSA has been rising, presently on Hormone meds (Casodex) to reduce PSA then should I go with Radiation or the much greater expense (for lodging etc) and have Proton-therapy 350 miles away? Comments

Hello, First post here but quick question. One year ago I had a radical prostatectomy at Mayo Clinic in Rochester by a very accomplished surgeon. Had one lymph node that was cancerous and recent PSA was .20. Radiation therapy is option. Should I do this at Mayo or come back to local hospital where

"De-bulking" prostate cancer
There has been a lot of controversy in the medical community about the value of performing a radical prostatectomy on a man who already has metastatic disease. Most surgeons wouldn't do it in the past but a number of studies reported that it helped. Here's an abstract of a new study on the other side

Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)
News item below [1], followed by the impact on PCa. While obesity is the most obvious accomplishment of the American Food Pyramid (high-carb, low-fat), it has also created an epidemic of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). my cannabis oil experiment
Hi to all who responded to my post ...jmeka was the first and many after. I took my oil and did not feel any different. It did not take away my neck spasms. I'm very disappointed . I live in South Carolina and they have not yet approved the use if medical marijuana but are soon going to vote. Not

Going through treatment for recurrence and eviction threats
I am currently going through recurrence for metastatic endometrial cancer. I got chest/abdomen/pelvis MRI scans on Friday and will see my oncologist this coming Thursday. At the same time, my mother is currently evicting me from one of the many properties she owns and one that she specifically bought

Medical Marijuana
I'm just curious how many folks are using Medical Marijuana, in particular for the benefits of CBD and help in slowing cell growth? I have been using CBD Oil since February and have been in remission for 7 months on a watch and wait program. Would love to hear others experiences?

No Answers; clock running out before I see latest doctor regarding prolonged, successful 18-year Coumadin use for clot to brain
I've written before, trying to find answers. I've had years of strange symptoms following a bout with Myocarditis and CHF. After successful treatment and a discharge by the cardiologist, I developed grotesque feet/hand swelling (increased several sizes within weeks). Sought out a rheumatologist who

Stage 1A Ovarian Cancer
Hello, I was diagnosed last Wednesday, two weeks after a radical hysterectomy. My Dr recommended 6 rounds of chemo. I'm really afraid, anxious and every other emotion. I feel if she got it all, why I would have to undergo that treatment. Why can't I have a low dose treatment or anything else other than

I've joined The Club
Hi all, I've been all over the internet looking for advice on PCa and just found this site. There is some great information here and I look forward to joining in conversations. A quick update on why I am here: - Dec 2014 (age 52 years). My lovely wife has for many years suspected I had coeliac disease

10 YEARS
Well this is a post I never EVER thought I would be writing. 10 years today I had my op and my cancer was confirmed with the words 'the prognosis is not good, you probably have a couple of years', delivered at my bedside by my surgeon who I had never seen before and whilst I was on my own recovering

Cannabis can work for RLS
Recently, I was able to get into the
medical
cannabis
program in my state for my spine issues. Was never a user and, frankly, frown upon those that were. That feeling has since changed as I have reaped the benefits of using cannabis on my pain.

Cannabis for Parkinsons and Dystonia
When I asked about whether cannabis would help with Parkinson's, he said they just don't have the medical research to prove it yet because until recently there has been no funding for
medical
cannabis
research in this country.

Two new studies below. We are all beyond biopsies for initial diagnosis, but this subject drives me crazy. We all know that PSA has poor specificity for PCa. Over the past 13 years, I have read countless papers showing that a panel of tests (the panels invariably include PSA) do much better. It is clear

Spasms
Just wanted to pass on this news...my husband was getting severe spasms all night long in his legs. We have medical marijuana cards but found out it's $500 an ounce. I decided have him try cbd oil/hemp oil in capsules. For those that don't know its cannabinol/hemp with no thc to make you high. He

prostate cancer patient, just received my first post RP ultra sensitive PSA reading above testing threshold, looking for advice and support
Hello, many thanks in advance. Looking for others that are in my situation or have been in my situation in the past. Ideally would like to find those that have had a non zero low measurable PSA indefinitely for years that have avoided BCR (biochemical recurrence). I have two friends that have been in
