Hi folks - last time in 2016 it was December 27th this year Xmas eve. Had a nice xmas planned, going to stay with my daughter and son-in-law on xmas eve, just bring ourselves and a few pressies and we could just chill and be waited on. Five days before I knew I was down with something, and by

Hi yall, I'm writing my first post on here, but I'm not a newbie in dealing with anxiety. My first panic attack was January 16, 2006. Since then I've had periods of literal HELL and periods of somewhat normal. But I've never been the same as before the first panic attack. I have a fear of any new med

The advice is to take vitaimin D with the fattiest meal of the day. If take I vitamin D with evening primrose oil capsule or any other oil capsule will that have the same effect. My fattiest meal can be late afternoon/early evening and I don't want to take vitamin D that late as I have read they can

"Check your Fish Oil Capsules -- They're very likely to be rancid!"
This was the advice I received from a very sharp and nutrition-oriented internist (MD) with whom I met this week. Among other things, he encouraged me to cut open one of my capsules and just smell it. I did so and WOW -- the odor was overpowering! The oil in the capsules seems clearly rancid, and

Moved back in!
Hello BLF friends I moved back on Friday after hospital. It was a long day. Still squashed on the sofa with an electric radiator, it’s -2 but it’s ok curled up under the duvet. See who keeps me company, and takes most of the room 😃 I’m joking She has been a most supportive companion actually. It’s

Just took a big step!
I am anorexic, and in recovery. I’m currently at a weight gain plateau, and although the doctors want me to gain a little more, as I’m still underweight, I am no longer in a critical state in which weight gain is necessary to live, so yeah, that’s nice. But that’s not what I wanted to post about. Not

Jakafi side effects
Hi everyone, I’m 62, diagnosed w et about 12 years ago, pv a few years later. Terrible itching, esp in high temperatures, was driving me crazy. I got on Jakafi for the itching, and that’s been great. But my immune system has gone to hell—weird infections, bimonthly bronchitis, painful heel bursitis

4th ECT Treatment
Good morning, Tomorrow I'm scheduled for my 4th ECT Treatment. Since my 3rd treatment last week, I've noticed that cognitively, I'm not on my A-game. My doctor has told me to continue taking my Pristiq and my Vraylar. The pharmacy has had a delay processing the Vraylar, so I haven't had any in around

Is the levodopa in sinement any different then the levodopa in mucuna?
This may be a stupid question but Is the levodopa in sinement any different then the levodopa in mucuna? one synthetic vs one natural? the levodopa crosses the blood brain barrier with inclusion of carbidopa and the levodopa in mucuna has nothing aiding this transfer thus less reaches the brain (unless

Extreme social anxiety and general.. Is there anything that can really help? Does this sound typical for social anxiety?
Hi I believe I suffer from social anxiety as well as general. I've just been to my gp (finally, I'm now 28 and have been suffering all my life) and have been given contact details to see a specialist. I feel better now I've taken a step forward and can let this all out as I've never talked to anyone

Reposting of comments on depression and the gut. How to heal the gut naturally
The following has been copied from another thread and covers issues about the role of the gut in depression, and ACAC has such useful advice here about how to heal the gut that I have reposted it for people who missed that thread. My husband has had depression and anxiety for quite a few years prior
