Great news and busy times
On May 30 I had a bilateral
mastectomy
. July 8 I had to go back in because the right tissue expander had staph infection. On August 2 teachers started back to work in classrooms and kids started the 12. On Aug. 17 I got the results of my PET and ....... no active cancer cells! Praise God!

Lymphatic fluid/Seroma
I had a
mastectomy
and full axillary lymph node clearance last week, with no drains. Although I appreciate that it is early days, I have noticed a whoosing sound (like a hot water bottle) of what I presume is lymphatic fluid/seroma against my chest wall every time I move.

Has anyone had success with Keytruda and then stopped treatment?
I was first diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2016. During the first year, I had a nephrectomy, cystectomy and prostatectomy along with other treatments. After all that, the cancer had metastasized to my lung. I began chemotherapy and after a year, the tumors had diminished, but my remaining kidney

Breast cancer history
(Both times in right breast) I had a double
mastectomy
and 8 cancerous lymph nodes removed. Stage 3. I had chemo and radiation. In August 2018, I had a biopsy on a lump in my lower spine (L4). Positive for cancer so Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Phlegm when eating
Hi Just wondering if anyone has advice. I had total gastrectomy in January due to cancer. Things have been ok since, able to eat little and often. However the past few days I feel like I’m having spasms in my oesophagus/throat, it happens at random times and is a little worse when eating. Within minutes

Hsg test
So finally I got sense out my GP surgery who have agreed to refer me for this test (long story but I had a battle on my hands). No guarantees they will agree to investigations though. I've requested the test as I'm nearly 39 and not once been pregnant. Prior to my OH's vasectomy he fathered two children

Few days after a vasectomy.
Got a vasectomy on Wednesday there and still feeling very delicate, got an uncomfortable feeling on the left and right side where my pubes are. Was just wanting to know how normal this is? Thanks

How do you cope with family indifference?
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 and had a double
mastectomy
on my birthday. While I was waiting to go to theatre I was sure one of them would call to wish me luck, or even happy birthday but I never received a call.

Extra cover for dental extraction
I had 8hr surgery in December for
mastectomy
with reconstruction and my long term steroid use was totally overlooked so I ended up in HDU with BP as low as 40/20! Very unpleasant! Has anyone had a tooth extraction and been advised to increase steroid beforehand and after?

Are supplements worth it?
So cycle 1 I got 18 eggs on long protocol. 16 mature, 13 of which fertilised (good fertilisation rate) but only 3 made it to day 5. I was only taking folic acid first round and developed OHSS. I finally got to fet which failed with a 1x4AB. I was and still am devastated. I have high amh 45.2 at age 38

Life's ups and downs
After four to six months, depending on how the lump responds I'll have either a lumpectomy or a
mastectomy
. So, fingers crossed! At the same time as all of this my house buyer has got cold feet so 'maybe' I've sold the house, and maybe not.

Costochondritis, does anyone have information about this condition ?
I have had a
mastectomy
, and the pain is predominantly in the ribs which are now only lightly covered by flesh. My cancer care nurse suggested that it could be a condition called Costochondritis. Had anyone heard of this condition of know anything about it ?
